I wonder if being ready to kill for chocolate is a sign of imminent OV?! ;) Popped to a shop at lunchtime to buy OH a Freddo as a little treat, got halfway down the road where I threw a paddy and went back to get one for myself even though it is definitely Not Allowed on my diet! :o Ooooh but it's very tasty :)

Great news about the LH levels QQ! Hopefully the eggs are well and all ready to be turned into babies! :)

Fingers crossed for you TeamLowe... I'm saying nothing about the S-word! ;)

Sorry to hear about your work tealover, that sucks but December is a long time, you could have a baby by then and you won't have to worry about it for ages! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Thank you for your support guys, it feels amazing to actually be able to talk to someone for once. I'd not thought of Complan before. I'm off to pick MIL up a prescription of the steroids up tomorrow so will ask if they can prescribe Complan too as I think that could really help. I have to ring the Macmillan nurse up when we get the appointment for liver biopsy through to let her know when it is too.

Nicki, this is my first and I hope last proper experience of cancer. My nan had breast cancer but I was only very young and so didn't take in much of the situation. The macmillan nurse we see is a lovely woman but she doesn't seem to say very much other than oh your not looking very well, you look worse than last week etc etc.

Congratulations Borokat , hope it turns into a BFP soon.

Great news QQ. So glad your levels have come down.

TeamLowe, fingers crossed for you hunni xx

    Thanks, that's the plan!!

ikkle - big hugs. I don't have anything useful to say but just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you. It can be so draining to be worrying about someone else all the time, make sure someone's looking after you too. Take care xx.

Ikkle, hugs, it must be really hard going through this, your MIL is lucky to have you as DIL!

    QQ, great news re LH.

Tealover, I'm in similar situation, my job as it is now disappearing in Sept and although there will be a new role offered, it will be for less money but same responsibility. If I want to get a good maternity package, I need to go on ML on 1st Sept latest. No pressure, eh?

Just a bit!! Considering we've been trying (on and off around operations and stuff, but mainly on) for a couple of years, and I'm now 33 (!!!!!!?!), and now this..... too much pressure!! Don't feel like it's ever going to happen now.

I am so sorry your mil is suffering so much Ikkle. I know what it feels like, my MIL had liver and double lung cancer. Unfortunatly they discovered it far far to late. You said that your OH keeps ignoring it, well I think that's normal chick. My OH shut it all out and wouldn't talk about it at all. Unfortunatly due to a family arguement I wasn't even allowed to see her so she only had her huband for support. She is so lucky to have you.
As the others said try her on milkshakes, that's all that my MIL would stomach.

    Congratulations Borokat!!!
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

  • Ikkle sounds like you are really going through it - do Macmillan offer any family support (or another cancer charity). You're OH may not go for it but they may be able to help you help him IYSWIM.

QQ- great news about LH (what is that by the way?)

teamlowe- about to be sick is probably the only SSing I would trust. Good luck on holding out to test, I wouldn't! I have no symptoms of anything to speak of

tealover/kavics - I know how you feel about pressure, it really doesn't help does it? If I'm not lucky this time I will probably OV on my birthday. Thinking of booking a weekend away for pure relaxation, if only it wasn't the weekend before valentines when everyone else has the same idea

hugs to anyone else who needs one - I have been reading just can't work out how to go back and remember all names yet.

I can't really go and buy a test until I finish work, so poundland might be out, expensive supermarket in. Am going to have a cup of tea and sit for a bit, try not to stress. For someone with an A in GCSE maths it is amazing how many times I have counted to 33/34/35 today and still got confused if I am 1 day late, 1 day early or due today.:rotfl:

    Hi everyone!

Sorry for falling off the face of the planet, my internet broke in December and it took me a lifetime to sort out who / what / where the problem is! Hope you all had good Christmases and I'm doing my best to catch up with the thread.

First of all huge hugs to everyone that needs them, I can see a lot of you are having a really rough start to the year. I hope it improves. Ikkle I'm so sorry to read about your MIL I can't imagine what a tough time you're having.

We're still TTC and I'm CD13 and OV according to my faithful friend the CBFM. Although there was plenty BD-ing at the weekend we can't BD tonight as I seem to have a bit of cystitis so it's not looking good for this month. :(
