Morning all! I tested again this morning - couldn't hold out until Wednesday. As the test was another positive (not as strong as the test line, but unmistakable) and AF has not come...and I am always very very regular, I'm happy to say it's a BFP for me! I can't believe it. Now I feel really nervous in case something goes wrong. Can't decide whether to make first appointment at the doctors yet or to wait another week?

I'm not a fan of the new screen either... not a fan of change! Was hoping it'd be something a little more subtle for reading at work but no, it still screams 'I am nothing to do with work!!!' ;)

    Congratulations Candycane! :j

Got a little +ve on my OPK so I'll see if I can seduce OH tonight ;)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

    Massive congratulations borokat!!

I think I need to start temping, or something. Atm I'm basically guessing when I ov. and I'm clearly not getting it right. I'm trying to tell based on cm but there doesn't seem to be any at all - that can't be a good sign??

As a beginner, what do people recommend to start with? Would I be better going for ov. tests or temping?

ETA: have just read that I'd need to not drink for a few hours so it looks like that's out. I can't go more than about 10 mins without a drink, I'm always really thirsty.

you can still drink, its just try not to drink too much for a couple of hours before the test.

i get a headache if i dont drink regularly, and I always end up having small sips or a small drink, and the tests still work.

I would temp as well though, cos the opks show when you are about to ovulate, but only temping confirms you definitely did.

I HATE THIS SQUASHED SCREEN BTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay Ive found out how to fix and debrighten the screen from another post on here

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3753373

Yet if you really can't stomach it you can revert it - the option can be found under your User CP option > Edit Options > Scroll down to the "Miscellaneous Options" area and look for the option labelled "Forum Skin" > Change it to "New masthead, stretchy".

I also selected the less bright one.

  • Okay, so i am probably being silly here (again....!!!!)

I stopped taking the pill about the 28th-ish of December... and i still havent had AF as yet (which is weird as if i miss one, i usually get AF immediately lol) i wondered when or if people reckon i should do pregnancy test at some point in the near-ish future/next few weeks etc?? I have MEGA achey boobs and had a weird dragging sensation a week or so ago.. i KNOW these could be AF "issues" so certainly not hopeful at all :o BUT - just wondered how or when i should test just to see........? What do u lot do lol? I mean, even if i had conceived the first BD, i would still only be about 4 weeks at most by this weekend....... Am i being a gun jumper??? :o:o
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
