LOL at Zippy SS for the end of AF!

skintchick, I'd start temping now, even though you are probably past ovulation, so that you are already in the routine if you need to do it next month (though hopefully you won't). It will also be helpful as you will be able to see if your temps stay high in the second half of your cycle, as I know you are restrained and don't usually test until you are late. If you have 16 or 17 high temps in a row without a dip though, you are likely to be pregnant, which could be useful to know, or not!0

GorkyPark - thinking that cough medicine is worth a try and gives you something new to try which is positive when getting disheartened. Dont like the taste but going to see if it works.
I definitely agree - I tried cough medicine this month, not sure if it made a big difference, although I had loads of EWCM yesterday and in general have seen a bit more cm. The main thing was it made me feel like I was doing something new and giving us a helping hand along the way, and distracted me from worrying too much about TTC!Fannyanna, it's still going, still doing my head in, but no huge clots today or yesterday, so that's progress I supposeyesterday was lighter but today is heavier than yesterday, but my ibs its playing up today and I've got a spot outbreak, so I'm hoping that's an indication that af's on the way out... We shall see...
ss-ing for the end if af, eh, whatever next?
(((hugs))) bigzippy - hope the bleeding stops really soon, what a time of it you've had!
 everybody! I've just tried to do that multi-quote thing so that I could reply to lots of posts, but only two of them seem to have come up... bother..
Think I will consider temping next month... I am not getting positives on the cheap OPKs but I am sure I am OVing (or may have already OV'd) as I had lots of ewcm and now big boobs (well, bigger than the usual 11 year old flat chest :rotfl:) which going by past months usually means OV. We BD on Sunday evening and last night so I am pleased that we might have actually manage well timed BDing this month, even if we don't catch the eggie I feel a bit like we are getting into TTCing!
QQ could you put me as 1DPO tomorrow, I'd always like to guess a bit later rather than earlier so I'm not disappointed if AF shows early.
Have a good day all
ETA: CONGRATULATIONS Candycane!!!! Another BFP, hooray!0 -
morning all
feeling a bit brighter today, still coughing a lot though
more ewcm yesterday, so we DTD last night and will try for tonight and friday as well. QQ can you put me down as 1dpo tomorrow, at a guess? No help from temps or opks, so will have to go by cm alone.
re:cough mixture, I've been taking the Tesco chesty cough mix 4 times a day since Friday (for medicinal purposes!) and I've noticed that I have loads more cm than normal, so I think it does work. I've always noticed ewcm before, but it's been much more obvious this month.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
The article was in a magazine and I can't seem to find a copy of it online guys, sorry
I will copy a few bits out for you though:
''There's a big connection between fat cells and the female sex hormone oestrogen, says midwife and fertility expert Zita West. 'Fat cells release oestrogen, which in turn tells the pituary gland to suppress the realease of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)' she says. If there's too much fat your bodty will struggle to produce enough FSH or ovulation, making it difficult to ripen that crucial egg ready for fertilisation.
In recent years, experts have discovered an added dimension in the weight-fertility connection, in a condition called polycycstic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Thought to affect up to 10 per cent of women, it prevents egg follicles from properly maturing, so they form cysts on the surface of the ovaries. Although doctors are still not sure exactly why the condition develops, it's thought that hormonal imbalances disrupt the ovulation cycle. One of the most effective ways of restoring that balance is to lose 10 per cent of your body weight. 'Research shows that losing just 10 per cent of your body weight could balance your hormones sufficiently to restore fertility.' says Zita. ''
So I have set myself a little challenge to lose 10%. I want to lose more but 10% will do for now.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Morning all. Sorry I've not been about much I'm mega busy at work.
Hugs for zippy, ikkle & QQ & anyone else who needs/wants them.
Well. I'm royally confused - started to get stronger lines on OPKs again - but only creamy/lotiony cm so I've officially got no idea whether I've already ovulated or whether it's still to come. Tbh I hope it's already been because I'm too knackered to get any bding in this week! We shall see I'll test again this afternoonProv1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

Oh and there is also this bit in a box at the side:
''Don't forget it takes two to make a baby! Around a third of fertility problems are due to the male partner and it's now known that men who are overweight also have an increased risk of being infertile. Doctors are unsure why but it is thought that increased amounts of fat around the genital area could raise body temperature, decreasing both the number and quality of sperm. 'A man who has a bmi of 30 and over may be only half as fertile as a man with a bmi within the healthy range', says Zita. ''You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

congratulations Candycane :j :j
although the mental lady that i am thinks the more BFPs this month makes me getting a bfp less likely, as if the fertility of strangers on the internet affects mine in any way lol
Hope we're all good today, i know a couple have been going through the mill.
Glad you're getting fewer clots BZ and hopefully, although this might sound unpleasant, your body having a good clear out means that your uterus will be all sparkly clean and snuggly for next month's egg
