That's bad and they do have a duty of care to supply staff as well as permanent. Do you plan to say anything to the head, or do you not work in that school very frequently?

There was a whole thread about them a while ago. Finding them in the bathroom is nothing. Finding m in the dishwasher with your clean dishes is what he has to worry about (which is how one lady said she cleaned hers at the end of each cycle)
I told dh about this and he said "if you ever clean that in the dishwasher, you'll be combing your hair with the bog brush and cleaning out my dishwasher with your toothbrush!" :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sexymouse, my friend's little girl had slapped cheek before christmas and had to keep her quarantined! Why were those children allowed to go to school-a place notorious as a breeding ground for illness?? My friend actually text me in a tizz to see if I was alright, as she knows that we are ttc, and that my immune system is compromised, and couldn't remember if I'd been in contact with her DD while she was infected in the early stage of it, which was thoughtful of her :)

As for the moon cup... Getting it in was relatively ok after the first few attempts... But getting it out without some pain and discomfort is proving tricky (even after filing my nails down :o)... it's been filling up almost alarmingly quickly, but no more huge clots since the early afternoon - I'm hoping it stays that way; I'm drained :o

Good to hear its getting better for you BZ, must admit I'm tempted to get one for next cycle as I don't like tampons but feel messy in pads, if you get me.
    Took the first response, BFN
Not as gutted as I was last few months, even before we started trying. Think I've properly resigned myself to this being a long haul. Tbh I had lots of hope that it wold be quick like last time as I've already waited long enough for DH to agree to try and I spent the few cycles in between losing our first and him agreeing to try hoping that it would happen again and we wouldn't have to try.
I think I'll just be pleased this cycle of its back to a normal 35 days. I just want next month to start already so I can have some hope x x

The lady who I asked for advice about it did say sorry - they just didn't think about telling me. I didn't tell the head, but don't know if she will. To be honest, the head there isn't very sympathetic anyway, as I was attacked by a child once when I was there (pencil thrown in my face, and when I turned round, he hit me hard between the shoulder-blades), and she almost tried to make out it was my fault. The children in the class (year1s) had been concerned enough to ask me if I was ok, but she didn't! It was another case of not telling me things that caused that situation, as the boy was autistic, and I'd not been told, so he didn't cope well with changes in teachers.

According to the guidance notes for people in contact with children (given to me after I'd had the contact), it says that they don't have to stay off school as it's just like having a mild cold with a painless rash on your cheeks for children. :o The only warning note on there was about contact with pregnant women. Having read up on the syndrome last night, it says most adults will be immune to it and may have had the syndrome without realising it, so it's put my mind at ease a bit. It can cause miscarriage if you get it whilst pregnant though if you're not immune to it.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Morning all! Just popping in to say hello - so many pages to catch up on... sounds like a few people are having a rough time so sending lots of big hugs.

:rotfl: at cervix checking... I was intrigued and think I actually found mine last night!!!!

Had a lovely evening last night with two of my best friends and a real good giggle over some wine. CD15 today, I don't think I've had any OV signs yet although have more CM than usual I think. Hoping it will hold off until Monday or Tuesday as DH is away this weekend.... although I did wake him up yesterday morning and demand his services, just in case...!

Happy weekend to all, fingers crossed for lots of BFPS next week ([STRIKE]and not just because I want to win the January predictions[/STRIKE])

I found getting the mooncup out a bit of a challenge at first. The key is to slide 1 finger up the side and press the rim in to break the seal. I grip the base with thumb and middle finger and use index finger to break the seal while pulling gently, so I can get it out in one movement. If you don't break the seal it's a bit like using a plunger on your insides though  After the first cycle it was much easier, there's definitely a knack to it!

TeamLowe - sending hugs for bfn, when is af due? I really hope you get your BFP soon and hope you can do something nice today.

BZ - hope the bleeding continues to ease, sending more hugs.

Nicki - hope you managed to get some sleep last night.

We are staying with my parents this weekend. DH and I are off to a RSPB reserve and my parents are going to look after our dog whilst we go. He is a mad dog so hope he behaves for them!
  • feeling down today ladies. We have been having sex every single day, sometimes twice and I tested this morning and am not pregnant. I honestly just expected it to happen straight away, naive I know, and it hasn't and I feel devastated. Just can't stop crying this morning :( don't know if I can stand to go thorough this month after month. I feel pathetic

I found the first month the hardest.

You're both really excited and on cloud moon (edit: just re-read what I typed and I have no idea what cloud moon is. I think I was going for cloud 9 lol) that you're trying for a baby. You know in reality it can take months to conceive but you simply can't help but hope that it happens in the first month. And then when it doesn't you're devastated because you've been so hopeful.

You start to settle into it after the first month or two and whilst it's really cr*p when AF comes along or you get a BFN I really do believe that it's not as bad as the very first tiime.

    (((Hugs))
  • Thanks fannyanna for your kind words. Fingers crossed you're right :)
