Sending massive hugs to all who need or want them. Hugs for all on CD1. I hope you don't mind me lurking for a while?
Bigzippy I hope you get on with the mooncup - I've not looked back since I got mine, and used tampons one cycle as I still had some to use up, and they were horrible, so I never did use them up. Hope the bleeding has slowed since your posts earlier. Pleased your MIL is getting better too.
Primmer sending big hugs to you for SIL's pregnancy.
Nicki how is your DD today? Are you ok too? Hope the results come through soon so you don't have too much waiting and worrying.
For the ladies who never felt their cervix before, I must admit I've tried and never found it either. (Just read that back, and that sounds awful! I mean, I've never felt my cervix before!:rotfl:)
Went to the doctor today, as wasn't sure what the next steps were and was worried about the contact with the children with slapped cheek syndrome (parvovirus) yesterday. She sent me for a blood test at the hospital to check whether I have immunity to the virus, as I've never had it as a child, and I have to wait 3 weeks for the results. She told me that at 4 weeks, it was too early to do my booking in appointment, but understood my concerns, and has asked me to book a double appointment for 3 weeks' time (the results should be in then too).
I really hope I've not upset anyone by posting this, but I'd never heard of slapped cheek syndrome before yesterday, and thought someone may find it useful to know how I got on. I'll let you all know when I get the results, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Lots of love,

Id never heard of it until 2 weeks ago. I was in the playground and one of the mums mentioned that she thought her child might possibly have it, and she said that someone (and I cant remember whether it was a doctor or friend now) said it was fine it looked like the little girl was past the contagious phase if she had had it, and thought she was fine to go to school, but the mum was thinking what if she had been around any pregnant ladies as one of the teachers is pregnant.
I think she turned out not to have it anyway. but I had never ever heard of it before, so its quite weird that you posted about it after I only just heard about it. I was in the 2ww when she told me, and she was saying obviously you dont know whose pg and who you need to keep your children away from, its really difficult, and I was thinking at the time, god what if I am!0 -

At least she was warning you in a roundabout way. When I was 5 weeks pregnant with Ds2, a mum picked her child up from Ds1's birthday party in our house and announced casually " she'll probably come out in spots tomorrow. Her brother has had chicken pox all week". I haven't had chicken pox and it can be catastrophic for the baby if you are exposed in first trimester so had to have blood tests to check for antibodies and would have had to be injected with an anti-virus if it hadn't turned out that I am naturally assume. It was very stressful, and why the mum didn't say at the beginning of the party rather than the end I will never know, when I could have had the choice of handing over party games to my DH and put myself on babysitting duty of DD and party tea preparations.0 -
The situation in school was similar Nicki - I didn't find out until the children were being dismissed and I'd been with them all afternoon. They are allowed to come to school with slapped cheek at all stages, including the contagious stage. The school had let all of their regular staff know about the outbreak (at least 3 children in class) but didn't think to warn supply teachers.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
