The nausea is ok, so long as you don't end up doing the "I feel sick but the only thing I can bear to eat is *insert naughty un-nutritious food here*" ;) The D-rear is not good though, and upsetting your IBS too much will just drive you crazy, especially if it makes you feel too lousy at ov time. What dose did they put you on?

On the same, vaguely related, topic - have a read up about chromium, especially with regards to PCOS. It's supposed to help with sugar cravings, and help your body with insulin etc, so could be worth a try for you too? At Holland & Barratt they have them in the BOGOfor 1p sale atm

AFM still got boringly heavy AF, and I think it's making me weak and a bit anaemic. Along with that, general exhaustion from the stress and hospital visiting, and a cold type virus I'm busily cultivating sickly.gif (which doesn't help with the hospital visiting sleepy%20smilie.bmp). MIL is still hanging on right now...

DH's SA sample was good, I've lost 1lb short of 3st now, and my cycles are getting shorter steadily, so hopefully it's only a matter of time rockingbaby.gif

I will definitely read about chromium thanks! I cant believe you haev lost 3 stone - tha'ts amazing! How long has that taken you now?

I'm really hoping this metformin will spur on a bit of a weight loss which will help me to decide to eat properly and help lose some more...

I'm so sorry you are feeling so run down BZ, I hope you are able to make some time to be kind to yourself; a bath or a bottle of wine - whatever works for you! Personally, I prefer both at the same time! ;)

Got the bottle - guaifenesin BP = 100mg per 5ml. I took 10ml (2x5ml spoons) 3 times a day (maximum dosage on the bottle for a cough). Yes it did make my CM a lot thinner. I didn't use the conceive plus this cycle, as I was lubricated enough naturally because of this. Mr T cough mixture is cherry flavoured, so I liked the taste too. ;)

Cool - thanks! I may head to Tesco tomorrow!

Have you booked in with the Dr yet? x

No not had a chance to book in with the doctor yet - was at work, and then babysitting. I did call the doctor this evening though, as I found out the class I was teaching this afternoon had an outbreak of slapped cheek syndrome, so I was concerned. I called for a telephone appointment, but missed the call as I had no signal and was left a message to say to rearrange the appointment. Luckily I was babysitting for a doctor, so when she came home, I told her the news and asked her if I was at risk. She said it was unlikely to cause any problems as I'm likely to be immune to it, but I'll tell the doctor when I go in anyway just in case. I'm not working tomorrow afternoon, so will see if I can get an appointment then.

    Evening ladies,

2b - yes I did do something different this time around - I took the Mr T chesty cough syrup with the main ingredient guanaifesin (or however you spell it) - 2 medicine spoonfuls 3x a day until the first peak on my CBFM, and I took it from CD1 I think. We also DTD on the first high of CBFM, on the first and second peak. It may have been the first high that got it though, as we normally don't bother until a bit closer to ovulation, and I'm wondering if the CBFM was picking up my surge a bit late? I stayed lying down for around 10 minutes eache time we BD this time too, and sometimes I didn't used to bother. I also get a bit of an upset tummy just before AF, and also have IBS - IBS is affected by hormonal changes as well as stress and changes to diet, so this may be why. That was another reason I suspected this month, as I have the opposite problem at the moment. Hugs for CD1, and hope the metformin works for you and DS is feeling better soon.

thanks for the info. That helps. I used the boots chesty cough stuff this month, as well as a proper routine of Vitamin B and Folic acid. every little helps I guess

TeamLowe - keeping my fingers crossed that those First Response tests give you your BFP - I'll be waiting impatiently to hear the news of the results. I know exactly what you mean about covincing yourself every month. This was month 11 for us. I remember the earlier months almost being harder than when we got to 6 months, as by then, I'd started convincing myself that I wasn't pregnant each month, so I wouldn't be disappointed. I only tested once early on with a First Response, and haven't done a test up until now since as I was scared to see the results.

Month 11 - wow thats tough. Well done for keeping upbeat - hard times..
Timetodeal - I started getting symptoms at 6DPO (got crampy feelings similar to period pains) - not that I'm trying to encourage you to symptom spot or anything. ;)
dont' tempt me. I'm 2dpo (I think) and this morning I swear my boobs were sensitive!

Hope I've not missed anyone - hugs and chocolate to all who need or want some.

    sexymouse xx

    Congrats again!

    Really?

Bit of a TMI post here, but sorry - I need to know!

I've had an upset stomach this afternoon, but bizarely I always get one to some degree on the first day of my period anyway (does anybody else get this, btw?)

I thought it was either because of CD1 or because I had re-started up on my pre-natal vits (which also give me a dodgy tummy), but I had to make a mad dash. But is this the meds, even though Im only on 500mg?

I do, although weirdly when I was a teenager and also on the pill it was always on CD1, now I find it happens about 1-2 days before AF. I have IBS though too, so doesnt need much to set it off annoyingly.

time2deal - crampy feelings and sensitive boobs were my first symptoms, so hope they are for you too. I took the Boots Conception Support vitamins if this helps too.

Hi there! Been lurking and not posting much lately! Glad to see some lovely bfps! Congratulations everyone!

As for me, just getting to grips with my diabetes. I'm trying hard not to dwell and am determined I am not an invalid, trying as hard as possible to just get on with it!

Met with a lovely doctor at a pre conception clinic the other day. It was at the same department that I spent time in during my miscarriage which was pretty difficult but I actually got a bit of "closure" (hate that word!) as she went through my notes from then and said that she thinks undiagnosed diabetes was most likely the cause of the mc. Also managed to see tv scan results from miscarriage. Got all worried as it said I had an ante-something uterus, but it turns out that's normal! Also seems ovaries are ok so doc thinks my fertility shouldn't have been harmed too much by my condition.

It was explained to me that pregnancy is pretty gruelling for diabetic women but if I look after myself I should be able to conceive eventually and I feel like I'm doing all I can to prepare my body etc. I'm not going to use any vits or cough syrup etc as I've no idea of the effect on my blood glucose. All I'm doing is taking prescription strength folic acid.

I'd like to hear any fellow diabetics pg stories if you have any!

P.s. in hosp the doc asked what cd I was on and I had to find qq's list on my mobile to find out! Thanks qq! X

Glad everything at the hospital went well maire - I think it's probably a good idea not to take the cough mixture I was on, as I'm sure there was a lot of sugar in it. I think that one of the ladies on one born every minute was diabetic recently - I may be getting mixed up with the midwife programme on channel 20 though as I watch both.

ETA this is clearly an american site, but don't know if there is anything useful on here. It's for pregnant, and ttc diabetic ladies.
