In all seriousness zippy I would get yourself down the hospital, its better to go now than sit and worry about it.

I don't think they'd do anything at this hr, but I would if I started getting faint or anything, thanks vesper :)

I am wondering about ringing the gynae/FS in the morning though, to see what they suggest...

hi guys, cant believe im up at this hour :) but was woken up by terrible af pains and sorry for the tmi but looks like af here and its cd1 for me at last :j:j

didnt think i would be so happy to see it but least it means a new cycle can begin, very very painful though sat here with a hot water bottle and already taken pain killers wouldnt have been able to get back to sleep. No idea what is happening to my body, but it feels like it did when i had my very first period.

right im off now for a bit of teleshopping watching, will catch up when its a more reasonable hour.

bigzippy- just seen your post, be careful, standard things i was told in epu were if your filling more than a pad an hour and passing very large clots or feel dizzy or faint get to hospital, but i would also see the doc as well just to check out. Hoping its better for you tomorrow.

Hugs for zippy - I hope the bleeding is stopping and that the doctor can shed some light on what's happening.

Hugs for CD1 cleo - I can't believe I'm up at this time either, but can't sleep and have been tossing and turning for the last hour so decided to get up.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Yay for sexymouse!! :j:j

Well I had my visit to the doctors yesterday re my unusually long cycle - my doctor is lovely but she seemed pretty baffled as to why I hadnt had a period for the last 2 months when I have been regular as clockwork up until now.

I have had a blood test done to check my blood count and also a blood pregnancy test - she doubted I was pg as I havent shown any other symptoms but she did say that I still could be one of those people who dont have any! although I don't feel like I am so not going to get my hopes up on that!

While I was there, I also mentioned my weight - I've not discussed it on here too much before because I hate it but I thought it was about time I saw someone about it.
I am a size 16, have a very curvy hourglass figure (*read HUGE boobs!) - but I am not what you would call "fat"
But I am a good few stone over my healthy weight but when people find that out they are shocked. Both my last two slimming club teachers both almost fell through the floor when they saw my weight on the scales (which didnt help me feel any better) - they both said I looked like I weighed about 12-12.5 stone when actually I weigh about 4 stone more than that. This was also something that baffled the doctor yesterday as she said exactly the same thing, I look like I weigh so much less and she cant really understand why I weigh so much!!!
The doc said my body measurements (waist etc) fall right on the border of healthy (pretty much on the line where it meets the slight increased risk) but am no where near the obese/massive health risk chart so she wasnt too worried but I HATE being this heavy. Because of the stupod weight, my BMI is off the scale and I know that counts for a lot, particulary when it comes to problems with TTC.

I dont feel unhealthy but having to carry myself up stairs and do exercise becomes so much harder when you are much heavier than your body is supposed to be.

She took a blood test to check my thyroid levels as this could be a factor but if that comes back neg, then she will look at other things. I have always struggled to lose weight so perhaps this might be a cause of it if they find something. She mentioned that there were tablets that she could prescribe that would help with the weight thing but didnt go into any detail at this stage apart from to say that they probably wouldnt be ideal when trying to TTC so if I decide to take them will have to put that off for a while maybe - will have to weigh it up.

Hoping to get bloods back today so will let you know what the outcome is, if any!!!

BZ when I had my MC it came on with a flow, just bleeding for days heavily, I had to change the pad every hour. I also passed clots, the biggest one was about a 2 pound coin size.

OK, a bit of a TMI here as well. Yest morning had a bit of a bleed so I thought AF finally arrived. The blood was only a few drops (I use a mooncup) and since than nothing. Nothing at all. Mooncup is clear with the occasional clear liquid in it. I have never spotted so this is completely new for me. Obv I'm not on CD2, I am now 14 days overdue as there is no bleeding at all. Not sure where I stand at the moment but thankfully I have dr appointment tmrw morning so can ask questions. Anyone has any ideas? I haven't done a new test as I was babysitting overnight and have nothing with me and I don't want to buy a new one ( I have one digi at home, plus ordered some IC).

    Hi Squirrel,
The BMI charts are based on averages, so if you have an unusual figure (tall, larger than average boobs, lots of muscle from swimming?) it won't be very accurate for you. If you're not carrying lots of extra fat on your waist, and it's all chest I don't think BMI is a good measure. My friend has a large chest, and when she's the top of her "healthy" BMI range, she actually looks too thin everywhere else, her frame is obviously meant to have a bit more weight. If you're fit and healthy, which it sounds like you are, then the chart numbers probably aren't that relevant to you.

Hi squirrel. I agree with LittleMoog, BMI is only one measure of healthy weight. Doctors seem to place a lot of emphasis on the hip waist ratio as well. If your hip waist ratio is good, and you have enormous boobage (!) then you sound ideally placed to have a child :) I also have big boobs (32E) but am an apple shape, so even when my BMI is around 22, my hip waist ratio is never in the healthy range :( I also found by the way, that when I saw the FS I wasn't actually weighed, though I was asked for my weight. So if you don't look 16 stone and can pass for 12.5, I might be inclined to try it on! The worst that can happen is that you get sussed, when you can feign amazement and be no worse off. My suspicion is that they weigh you when they can see by looking at you that you might well be over the magic 30, and they are looking for ways to manage their list. The danger area for weight when pregnant as I understand it is round the belly, where I carry it, as this makes it difficult or impossible to monitor the baby's FHR during pregnancy and labour.

kavics, what you are describing is exactly what happened to me this month. I thought I came on on day 28 but only had a tiny amount of spotting for 2 days (just on TP not even on pad) but AF then arrived on CD30. So QQ's list at the moment is actually 2 days out for me, as I am now on CD4. I got my hopes up secretly that the day 28 bleeding, which was 13dpo for me might have been implantation, but my HPTs were all BFN.
