hiya, no I don't think I've ov'd yet either, not expecting to til about CD20, as that's when I've had definite EWCM before. -ve OPKs on Tuesday and Thursday, not even a hint of a second line. I was just worried that it wouldn't be obvious as temps so variable already.

CM is somewhere between sticky and creamy at the moment, not that much, definitely opaque and a bit gelatinous. Am going to start OPKs properly on Saturday, CD14.

    Hello girls:wave:

I've been to the FS, and they tell me my LH is high (24) so they may have to cancel this cycle:( Don't know how I could lower it but I'll cut out carbs and sugar as much as I can:o

    Hope they dont cancel.

Hi Ladies - just popping in to congratulate all the BFPer's and throw some SBD around everyone else.

Oh how I wish I could join you ladies already. After another heart to heart with OH, he's confident that something will happen with his job (one way or the other) pretty soon. And if it doesn't, his contract runs out April 2013 - so that is the latest time that things will change. He's also dropped his insistence on waiting an extra year if he has to change jobs, so April 2013 is now the 'at the latest' time scale. Of course, I am hoping for earlier!! As always.

QQ - I hope that they don't have to cancel your cycle! Fingers crossed!

I dreamt that my 64 year old mother was 4 months pregnant last night, as she'd somehow reversed the ageing process on her body. I wasn't happy (shamefully), just massively jealous!

That would be massively scary :rotfl:

What is your OH waiting for to happen in his job before you can start? dont suppose as his job is guaranteed til 2013 you could persuade him that starting now would be best!?

Because I never tested really (i did once and wondered if I saw the slightest tinge if I held it just-so etc etc but thought it was either too early or my desperate ttc imagination, and it could still be!:o) so I'm not saying it is/was +ive/mc, but they both asked questions in that vein. Gp nurse said hcg would've dropped so fast, if it was that, that it wouldn't show now anyway.:o I explained to the fs nurse that as soon as I get any kind of bleeding I don't like to test cos I don't want to know, and she understood and finished my sentence :o she said it could well just be a really heavy AF this time, so I'm going to assume that's the case for the moment, and hope it's the last big clear out before getting my bfp :o:)

    hope so too :)

I understand your thinking, i was exactly the same before i had my ds1. It was so physically painful that looking back I can only assume that it was an early m/c but didnt want to find out for sure at the time :o

Good luck birdie, I'd struggle in that situation for sure. I've a mate with a one year old that I've not seen for probably 6 months cos I can't bear it. She's also one of those that knows we're ttc ing but still moans /tells me to be grateful I don't have to deal with *insert normal childhood/motherhood experience here*/acts like a martyr, so it just makes me want to punch her.:o She wants me to be godmother, or did, but I've avoided/been less than enthusiastic for so long I think she's finally got the hint now :o truth is, if we moved away, I wouldn't feel any compulsion to see them again, so I don't feel it's fair to take that title from someone who would potentially be there/around more, iyswim?

That makes sense. We've got a really close knit group of friends and it's really difficult to determine 'best' friends as they're all besties! With that in mind we've struggled to narrow potential godparents down to 3 of each sex, although that'll hurt a few people I'm sure, we just can't give that responsibility to people who've moved away and don't see us very often anymore, no matter how good a friend they are or how long they've known us because we want our kids' godparents to be an extended family whom they see on a regular basis and who can actually enrich their lives. I have some friends on the outskirts of our close group and I'd probably try to get out of being a godmother to their kids if I was asked as I just wouldn't feel like I would be present enough in their lives. :o

I might take my conceive plus along tonight and if SIL starts harping on about how easy it is to get PG I'll squirt it all over her! :p

I do love DH being a personal trainer sometimes. I have a major chocolate craving at the moment always do around AF (well thats my excuse anyway :)), and hes just come home with 2 boxes of proper nice expensive ones.

Hes told his clients who dont want any chocs in their house at the moment to pass them onto him if they want to.

Apparently one lady brought in a huge double layer box, and the 3 personal trainers who were there at the time including him cleared it in 5 mins straight :rotfl: if only their clients knew!

On another subject hopefully my spotting will clear up soon, seems to be going on a bit this month.

Can I ask if anyone remembers a good picture website someone posted ages ago (I think!!! I have dotted about on old threads too!!) it was really clear about stages of CM and quite frankly the amount I am checking it at the moment I would be surprised if any has a chance to even form :o:rotfl::o
I think QQ added it on the first page Welshgirl :)

Tell me about it! She's had a hysterectomy, so it would be a bl00dy miracle of massive proportions! :rotfl:

OH is currently on secondment from the UK office. Has been since 2008, and the contract ends in April 2013. At that point, by Dutch law, he either has to have a local contract or return to the UK. You are not permitted to be on secondment here for any longer than 5 years.

His work have been talking about a local contract since he got here, but it's never materialised, and at one point they tried to tell him that they could give him a local contract but it would have to be on less money! They're not allowed to do that either, and were swiftly reminded of that fact!

However, stuff has been happening at his work recently, and it has become quite obvious that they are about to be bought out. So, he has a strong feeling he will either get his job offer soon under the new company, or be offered redundancy. I'm hoping for the latter as he's been with them for 14/15 years in total, and a redundancy package that came up 10 years ago was worth 12k! He was earning less than, with less time on the clock, so he's entitled to a lot more now. If we got that, we'd just wait for him to find another local job here, get the mortgage and house, and then start trying and we'd have a nice safety net if the new job didn't work out.

No chance of anything before the job's sorted. Been over and over it with him, and to be honest just getting him to remove the 'must be in new job for at least 1 year rule' was a big thing and progress.

He also said he would be happy to raise a family here or in the UK, so it is up to me. Reality is, that is such a hard decision to make, and so many factors to consider that we are still discussing it with each other loads, and will make the decision together. But it's nice to know I could say 'I think we'll be happier in UK/NL' and he would just accept it and go with it.

I'm leaning quite strongly towards NL, but family in the UK is a big pull, particularly my parents. I actually think I need to make a list of the pro's and con's to be able to be sure of any decision.

Hugs bz and I hope you start to feel better this weekend and that the bleeding stops.

Ikkle your chart looks good and you have a significant rising temperature. Definitely showing ov. I have been looking at everyone's charts to see if mine is normal lol. But everyone's is so different.

Only 6 days to testing for me woo hoo. Fingers crossed that this is my lucky month.

Managed to get a mortgage sorted out for my new home as well today after a panic over how much I can borrow. So looking at moving in the next few months and I cannot wait.

Ok, I'm starting to get worried about all this bleeding :( I had something like 10 days of spotting/light af, then huge cramps and huge clots that reminded me of the placenta (obviously far smaller) on that How To Be A Good Mother program, and I've had a lot of consistently bright red bleeding since, still with the odd clot now and again. Tonight I've had more large dark red worm like clots and lots of cramping. Heavy AF has been going on for 7 days now, and I would normally expect it to be getting lighter and more rusty brown-ish by now...

I'm not saying I'm having an mc (but I'd be lying if I said my brain wasn't considering it) as I never had a positive test, but something is definitely not normal, and I'm starting to get freaked out... Thinking all sorts from mcs, to endo, to haemorrhages... :(

If any of the early mc sufferers wouldn't mind pm-ing me about their bleeding experiences, I would appreciate it... I wouldn't want you to upset yourself or do it here on the forum thread though, cos I don't want to upset anyone else either.

I've asked dh to ring our gp's first thing and see if I can see a nurse tomorrow...

    Hi Zippy,

I don't know whether it's any comfort or not but the bleeding you have sounds similar to the bleeding that I had and it wasn't because of anything horrible or sinister - it looks like a freak PCOS thing. Although I can understand why you'd be concerned about mc.

I had some awful clots at one point so know what you mean. At the very worst they actually looked like turds. This is probably far too much information so if you're brave enough to read go ahead but you mind find it useful advice....I ended up avoiding tampons and just used pads so that anything that was going to come out would. The time I had awful bleeding with blood down to my ankles was because I'd used a tampon. I think where the blood had all been stopped it just flooded all at once when the tampon was removed.

Your GP will be able to prescribe you tablets to reduce the blood loss if it doesn't naturally tail off. I've tried a few varieties over the past few months and they really do work. I'd avoid norothisterone (as that will induce a bleed when you stop and for me I had horrific pains afterwards) if it's offered. Aim for tranexamic acid or mefenamic acid which are both very good.

If pain is a problem you can alternate between paracetamol and ibuprofen and also heat packs and warms baths can be soothing.

Hope you feel better soon x x x
