  • Hello, I have the same problem with lots of greys. I tend to dye my hair before ovulation. I think the main reason they tell you to be cautious during pregnancy is that your skin can become more sensitive and so you are more likely to have a reaction. I think they recommend the best thing to do is have foils so that the dye doesn't come into contact with your scalp.

    Hiya Emsbet

Thanks for the speedy response! I'm due to have it dyed next Wednesday so I may ask my hairdresser to do foils (as close as possible to the root without touching the scalp!) I have really dark brown hair so greys seem to show even after 10 days of my having it dyed!

Sexymouse - sounds lovely. We can all dream! Hope you DTD later.

Ems - I think (I know I should know), it's to test for chlyamidia (?) as part of the standard initial tests done by the GP along with day 1 & day 21 bloods.

I didn't ask the GP as to when it should be done, she just told me to book in.

I don't think it would be a problem afterall they swab around the outside of the cervix so any beany won't be harmed as your cervix would be tightly closed. I would double check with your doctor though because I'm not a medical professional ;)

    xx

ETA: I just realised how contradictory to my first post this is! When I think about it logically it seems like it would be ok I'm just a worrier and so wouldn't like to have it done although if I was told by the doctor it was the best thing then I would. But then I am the girl who would DTD during the first trimester in my last pregnancy (not that it did any good :o)

Afternoon. Sorry I have been lurking but been distracted as had DH with the lurgy and DS with the chickenpox and cutting his eye teeth. It's been an interesting Christmas which has been extended as can't send DS to nursery til he is over it.

So anyhoo, QQ, am now CD 10 as I once again had a fairly short cycle. Gave in and ordered some IC opks to see if I can pinpoint when I ovulate. Have got myself some PMA for New Year so we'll see how it goes!

I have no idea what has happened as haven't read back. Congrats to those who got what they wanted over the hols. Big hugs and lots of PMA to those who are in need. You are not alone!

Man it's cold and windy today! Brr!!

Back from hospital where I have just been given the green light for next cycle!!!!! Woohoo!

I know it won't be easy. Baby I lost last year took 2 years to conceive, but it will feel great to be actively trying again.

Just waiting for af now so I can get cracking! Think I'm about 5 dpo. Excited!

    Hey QQ

It aint going to happen for me anytime soon and for my own sanity I'm trying to tell myself that I'm not trying for a baby and so I'm trying to push everything to the back of my mind and forget about it all (although I'm not very good at that ;)).

Could you take me off the sticky list please (although I want to stay on the first page as I'll feel as if it really is all over if I'm not on that - yes I know I'm deluded :D).

I would say that I'm off but I know what I'm like. I'm sure I'll keep popping back like a bad smell lol. Also I wanna keep an eye out for all the BFP's you ladies are going to get.
