Trying for a Baby Part 7

Already thanked you for this, but just to say thanks again! I have been really good with the diet, increased the relevant fruit and nut intake, so fingers crossed. Have also just done an online grocery shop, buying most of what's on the food and drink list (apart from fish, cottage cheese and honey as I'm vegan), and it came to £50 :eek::eek:! Oh well! :money: It's all good.
Happy New Year to you all, may we all get BFPs this month, and get our 2012 babies.
You are Very welcome xxxx:DIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Feeling strangely happy with my life at the moment, but in the most wrong way. Found out one of OH's friends in his cricket team's son died a few days ago of Leukemia. They didn't even know he was ill (the family) they took him to hospital one day just after xmas as he felt a bit ill, the day later he was dead, he was only 14. I really don't know how they are coping. I've had a miscarriage in the past and it really seems insignificant in comparison to losing a 14 year old in that way, so sudden.
One of my friends from uni, has a friend, who has recently found out her boyfriend has leukemia I think hes about 26. Hes had 1 round of chemo and apparently it basically didnt work. So onto 2nd round now. Very depressing. It does put things in perspective.
He apparently had a sore throat, cold type symptoms, but then a few other things cropped up. A few weeks later he went to the docs(only cos he girlfriend forced him to as shed been online looking up symptoms and leukemia came up, and not really thinking hed actually have that, told him he should go - probably thinking hed come back with anti biotics or told to go home and rest or whatever) and a couple of days later he was straight in hospital.0 -
Right now it's 2012 I want to start making babies! (Me and my husband have been trying since July)
As I posted before I have not had a period for over 6 months now, anyone any ideas how I can get them started again? Has anyone had this problem?
I am sightly overweight (BMI 26.3) I was bang on 25 before Christmas, I plan on getting some more exercise

I think your doctor can give you something to bring on your period. Then after that you will hopefully get a cycle back!
I would definitely book an appt as they cant fob you off after 6 months.
Is it because youve come off the pill?0 -

Have you been to the doctor? Sorry I can't remember if you've saidThey can sometimes give you something to take to get things going again.

Hey,
I went to the see a nurse 3 months ago for a blood test (everything fine) and then to see a doctor 2 months ago, so do you think I should now make another appointment? I got fobbed off last time.
Thanks for all your support0 -
Yes make another one. And dont let them fob you off! I think the thing they can give you is called provera? But I could be wrong.0

Evening all! Am feeling full of PMA this evening... think it's the New Year effect.
I am feeling a little bit pre menstrual... mostly the old big boob thing again (read: 12 year old instead of 11 year old chest) although this time it's only one boob so DH is highly amused! Expecting AF to show in the next few days and feeling quite calm about it and pleased my cycles seem to be a normal length. Will still test on Saturday if nothing has happened by then but I'm not counting my chickens as we didn't get enough well timed BD-ing in this month.
Decided I need to make a few health changes (am mostly quite healthy, but a few things to tweak) so following resolutions:
- HYDRATION! Drink more water.. I am terrible at doing this...
- Cut down on caffeine and limit myself to max. 1 caffeinated drink per day. Drink more (decaf) green tea and other mint/herbal/fruit teas instead
- Excercise. I've never been a big one for exercise, but can definitely fit in a 30 minute walk each day.
- The old 5 a day... well, that might be a bit ambitious for me, but at least 3 portions of fruit and/or veg could be achievable
And.. (not health related)... have more sex! And not just well timed OV sex, but regular from when AF stops through to end of cycle.
Might all be a bit ambitious but I want to get my body in tip top shape for TTC! If anybody wants to add any more suggestions for being in good health I'd love to hear them. Am already taking folic acid but not any other supplements.
Have been reading a bit about taking robitussin to increase CM. Anybody take this? Looked at it on Amazon, and the 'things other people buy' list was full of pregnancy tests, ov kits, fertility books etc. Does anybody actually use it for its intended purpose I wonder?!?:rotfl:
Have a good evening, hope the return to work hasn't been too gloomy for those of us back in work..0 -

That's what I've read also. Like Claire says don't let them fob you off.

TheNextVerse – congratulations :j
Hello cleofish, borokat and moneypuddle, I hope your stay here is short but sweet.
Squ1rrel5 – I knew there was a reason I didn’t go running, hope your nose is getting better.
TTC40 – good luck with the tests.
Great news Marie1
Can I join in the guessing please? QQ can I guess 11 for this month please (ideally including me)
Back to work today, same old routine and horrible weather here all day didn’t help my mood
Since I came off the pill (about 14 months ago) my cycles have alternated each month between a “normal” 30-31 to a lengthy 39-41 days, could there be a reason for this? It makes it difficult to know when to expect AF. This month I am “due” a long cycle and given that I am on CD21 with no obvious sign of ovulation I will try not to get my hopes up too soon this month.
I asked my DH what his new years resolution was and his reply was..........to make a baby, how lovely is that!
Hugs to all those that need / want them.0
