Trying for a Baby Part 7

I think I'm going to test on 7th if AF hasn't arrived. This is my 4th cycle since stopping the pill, last three were 56, 31 and 30 days, 6th Jan will be CD30, so if no sign on 7th I'll test then, as we're going out for dinner for a friend's birthday in the evening:beer:
Not sure if it would be to early show on a test though? last 2 cycles and this one I've had EWCM on CD20 or 21 and assumed that was ovulation day, which makes an LP of 10-11 days, so would only be 10dpo on 6th.
I think regardless of your LP the embryo will take the same time to implant and start building up HcG. It is possible to get a BFP or TLP at 11DPO (I think Sa-ra-ra-ra got a TLP at 11DPO recently).
I found this about HPT that might help clarify for you
What about early results tests, though, the ones that promise results three or four days before your missed period?
It’s important to know that these tests assume a 14-day luteal phase. (That’s the time between ovulation and when you get your period.) If your luteal phase is usually 12 days, four days before your missed period would be 9 days after ovulation. Way too early to test.
If you have a luteal phase of 15 days, though, 4 days before your missed period is 12 days after ovulation. You still may not have enough hormone that early, but you’ve got a much better chance than someone with a shorter luteal phase.
It depends on how you feel about getting BFNs before a BFP. Some people get down seeing a BFN others are not as bothered. I would say 11DPO is probably the earliest to test.
You can find more information on HPTs and how reliable they are at various DPOs on the FF website here

((hugs)) Ikkle for CD1.
I think it's possible that you ov'd on CD21 but as you said it's difficult to tell as you haven't temp'd enough. It would make sense as that would give you an LP of 13/14 days.

I'm coming on to have a moan. I'm well and truly fed up of being in the two week wait. I'm only 5DPO but the suspense is killing me. In my heart I know that I'm most likely not pregnant this month as we only managed one well timed BD but I'm still hoping that we've been lucky. I stocked up on tests yesterday and I'm planning to test on Monday. I'll only be 10 DPO but I go back to work on Tuesday and I want to test before then, even if it ends up being a BFN. I'm trying not to symptom spot but for the last three nights I've had really strange and vivid dreams which is not usual for me. I think it's probably because my mind is so preoccupied with TTC at the moment but could it be a pregnancy symptom?
If it is a BFN this month I think I'm going to order some of the smiley face OPK's from Amazon as I think the IC ones are too hard to read. I'd also really like to try the SMEP. However, I mentioned SMEP to DH and he said he didn't think he could manage BD that often. Whereas when we first got together he was always up for it now he's older he's finding it more difficult. I do understand and I don't want to put pressure on him but I find it frustrating. He wants a baby as much as I do but I don't think we're going to get there without a lot more effort on his part

I might have ov sypmtoms all wrong anyway, as I'm not temping/doing opks, but going solely on ewcm (up til now we've been using condoms so no confusion with "leftovers" :rotfl:) and cycle length.
Do you have any other signs such as tender boobs, ov pain? Lots of ladies in years gone by have gotten pg without using OPKs and temping. I sometimes wish I hadn't started using them as now I feel I can't stop

none that I've noticed, and I've been SSing them like crazy to try and get to know my cycle for when we started ttc! :rotfl: I get tender boobs about 3-4 days before AF starts, and faint brown spotting on the last day before CD1, but apart from the EWCM on CD20/21, I haven't really noticed anything significant mid-cycle. If I'm not pg I might get a BBT, as the scientist in me is sadly excited about a graph to play with, and i'd like to be sure I'm ovulating (GP did say it could take up to a year for my cycle to sort itself out after stopping Cerazette pill, as I had no periods at all for 3 years while on it)Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
