Good morning girls, and thank you for the good lucks:wave:

I had my IVF egg retrieval today, retrieved only one egg as I'm on natural cycle, but it was unfortunately a bit immature:o Anyway, they are seeing if it'll mature, if not, then we'll try again:cool:

The doctor said another egg may mature by tomorrow (still in my ovaries), so they are going to attempt the retrieval again tomorrow:shocked:

Fannyanna, (((hugs))). People of all shapes and sized give birth to perfect babies, I can't believe your doctor said that:mad:
Perhaps going on the contraceptive pill for a while may be a good idea, just to stop your bleeding, and by the time your DH is OK to go, you'll be ready too:)
GorkyPark & Flee, (((hugs))) for AF, let's drink to 2012 Olympic baby:beer:

Secretdebts, yay for +OPK:j Hope you had a great baby making session:p
    Primmer, (((hugs))) for AF:(

Sexymouse, did the fish pedicure make your feet beautiful?
I was thinking of getting one myself:)

Hope the egg they've got matures. I have no idea what's involved but this egg retrieval stuff doesn't sound like a walk in the park :o

Will keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow then QQ.

The fish pedicure did make my feet look a bit better than before, but to be honest, if you've got lots of dry skin on your feet, the 20 minutes in the tank isn't long enough to improve them that dramatically. Apparently they have an enzyme in their saliva that softens the skin, and if the area is bad, the fish put a bit onto the area then come back later. They don't usually have long enough to come back to it after 20 minutes, but the enzyme continues to work after your feet are out of the tank, so the beautician recommended we give our feet a good scrub after a few hours, to increase the effect. I used a foot file in the evening, and my feet do look a lot better, and are nicely pink now. It must do something though, as I had a sort of sock tan-line around my ankles where the skin was a slightly lighter colour afterwards. I like the nail polish I chose to have on afterwards - it's this one, but it looks a lot darker on (almost a cross between a metallic navy and purple):

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Actually, it was a walk in the park:p Absolutely painless. Last time I did it in another clinic, and they used general anaesthetic, but this time, nothing, and it was fine (also :money:).

Had it been free, I'd do it every month:D

The thing with IVF is that my feet is near the doctor's face:D
Had to take my socks and all nail polish off for egg retrieval:o

    Afternoon,

I haven't been for a couple of days, I just simply refused to use the internet while resting at home.

    Hugs Fannyanna, Flee and Primmer.

Hope egg will mature QQ, keeping my fingers cross!

As for me, can you put me down for 2DPO pls? Not sure when I ovulated, had very faint line on the 23rd and 24th, nothing on the 25th than a tiny bit darker on the 26th so will use that. We BD'every day from the 20st except the 22nd and 24th so it's a bit of a hit or miss whether we did it on the right day or not. I might go back on the clearblue smiley faces as it was more clear than the internet cheapie ones. I will test on the 9th Jan.

I have started the diet today, we finished the cake last night so there is nothing to indulge on and I'm back at work today so no more excuse. I would ideally like to lose 6lb by the end of January. So no more sweets during the day and I have to make sure that I eat proper lunch as usually that is my weakness, no proper lunch=lots of sweets in the afternoon.
  • No bd last night - but opk was more positive today iyswim so hoping tonight will catch it instead :( hugs for the cd1s

Glad it was so painless! If you dont mind saying how exactly do they get the egg out?

And might be a silly question but why cant you have nail varnish on?

Really hope it works for you QQ.:)

    .

Thats whats happening to me at the moment. Ive just done an opk and its almost positive. Its getting really irritating so I think I might get some smiley face ones, but depends on how much they cost, cos Ive already used about 10 opks this cycle but that only costs about £2 and I have a feeling the clearblue ones are really expensive.

Does anyone know any cheaper ones?

I bought the smiley face ones on Amazon for £22, that was for 20 sticks. That was the cheapest I could find in October, not sure about the price now.
