I bought the smiley face ones on Amazon for £22, that was for 20 sticks. That was the cheapest I could find in October, not sure about the price now.

    Thanks.

I just had a look and I can get 100 cheapy sticks for £14 - hence whats putting me off the clearblue ones :rotfl:

It is irritating not knowing if its a proper positive or not though...hmm..

I know:(. I got 50 cheapie ones for £6.75 and even though I used like 10 this month it's still better value. Not sure what to do tbh, I might stick with the cheapie one in Jan and see if I get better result.

Well there seems to have been plenty of BDing going on - let's hope for a good score for January BFPs!

CD9 with me. Tried to BD on last couple of nights but OH couldn't 'complete'. I was cool about it - but hope that all is good for tomorrow when we try again. He's out tonight. I asked if he felt pressure due to TTC but he said not - blamed his age!

Using CBFM and no peak yet. Have also bought the First Response OPKs which I will use from tomorrow. Not MSE but felt it might be useful for a couple of months to see what they tell me.

GP appointment on Friday. Fully expecting weight to be mentioned (over 30 BMI), but I like the comment about the fact that overweight people have been getting pg for years!

Not expecting much from NHS (due to both being over 40), but we will see what is said & then make some decisions. We would definitely pay for tests but not sure after that.

Damn body clock - why has it taken until I am 40 to decide that I do want a baby?

Plenty of pg news around me over Christmas. Saw a baby a few months old who was conceived through IVF due to father having had a vasectomy. Rather than a reversal, it was 'surgical sperm retreival'. Worked 1st time (at a cost of £5k). They want more, so I assume they have more in stock and future attempts may be less cost.

Have lost 1.5 stone over last 6 months but trying to lose more (need to hide the Christmas choccies).

Glad that the procedure was painless Q. When is your DH home until? Hope you are making the most of time together.

    hi all,

I was hoping for a bit of advice. I am going to see the doc tonight to formally get the results from my CD21 test. I have been told it's normal, but I wanted to speak to them (receptionist gave me the results).

Can anyone advise me on what to ask them to look at next? I have a tendancy to go to doctors and lose my nerve and not ask things that I should, so I need a list! Any advice from the wisdom of the MSE TTC'ers!

    thanks

LittleMoog, welcome! Babies are the best birthday pressie ever I think:j Hope you are baking one now:D When are you planning on testing?
    And happy belated birthday too!:bdaycake:

thanks for all the lovely welcomes ladies :hello: I can't believe I'm finally on this thread I've been lurking for ages! :o

I think I'm going to test on 7th if AF hasn't arrived. This is my 4th cycle since stopping the pill, last three were 56, 31 and 30 days, 6th Jan will be CD30, so if no sign on 7th I'll test then, as we're going out for dinner for a friend's birthday in the evening:beer:
Not sure if it would be to early show on a test though? last 2 cycles and this one I've had EWCM on CD20 or 21 and assumed that was ovulation day, which makes an LP of 10-11 days, so would only be 10dpo on 6th.

CD21 tests being normal Means you have ov'd so I'm not 100% sure but I think that the next step would be SA for your OH.
    Sorry I realise it's a bit now. :o

    Hey guys, how is everyone?

QQ, I hope the egg matures in time.

Can you put me as CD1 please? Really confused as didn't think I had ov'd :/ stupidly I didn't keep on with temping etc after I got ill and I found the constant -ve OPK's really disheartening so gave up lol so to then come on was a bit of a shock. So I've just bought myself the FF VIP thing for the year and am gonna go read up on how to chart and how to read it etc, looking at it I think I might have ov'd on CD21? I know there isn't enough temps to say yes for definite but what do you think?

I've just been and bought loads of frozen veg and fruit in as starting slimming world on the 4th January, I did join last year (2010) and lost 7 stone but put it all back on now :( and I feel crap so gonna get back on track.

Anyone else any news? Am afraid I've not paid full attention to the thread as have my 13 year old brother staying with us at the minute x
