Trying for a Baby Part 7

Aw don't be sorry. I feel a little out of it as I'm not really sure of everyones history apart from QQ. I'm slowly picking it up though.
it is difficult to remember everyone when there's quite a few of us. I struggled when I came back to the thread this time as there were quite a few new faces.

Hello everyone,
Me and my husband have been TTC since July when I came off the pill, 6 months later and still no AF  no symptoms either apart from rattyness, but I guess that is only because it has not arrived. Anyone in the same boat? I could do with any advice or help as my doctor just said "come back in 6 months" I'm 27, have done everything right (for me! - got married, brought house, got good job) now when the only thing I can't control doesn't go right it gets annoying. I have been putting it out of my mine, thowing myself into work / being a good wife and being happy, but when my goal was to have a bun in the oven for xmas now I am getting sad

((hugs)) I remember reading that if you hadn't had AF for six months after stopping the pill your doctor would do some blood tests, maybe I remember that incorrectly. If your not happy with the doctor you saw can you ask to see another one? You might find they're more sympathetic or know more about the subject.

Thank you for your reply, I forgot to say did go and see a nurse a few weeks before who did a blood test and that all came back normal, she referred me to the doctor, who treated me like a teenager TTC.
I guess I just didn't realise how much the pill can mess up your body. No one ever mentioned to me that periods might take up to a year to return to normal.

That must be frustrating that they won't do anymore right now. Fingers crossed your cycle returns to normal soon.

Little miss sunshine - unfortunately I think it's all about luck when it comes to finding a decent Dr. Some don't know that much, some do but are very rigid with the rules and some are happy to bend them a bit. It could be worth trying to see another Dr and see how you get on.0

Secretdebts – I’m intrigued (ok nosey) about this new forum. .
I've put a link in in white as I'm not sure how to link it with just one word & I didn't want the full title up. Please only visit this forum if you are not easily upset. http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1335632/pregnancy-birthing-parenting-after-sexual-abuse
:o I haven't posted on this type of forum yet. It's taken me a good 4-5 months (well years really) just to look (thanks to some encouragement) and even to annonymously admit that I need to look.:o:o Prov1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

Hi Everyone,
In relation to the person who left because of the change in the conversations in the forum, I think it ebbs and flows, and I must say I really enjoy it. I've said before I don't get to speak to anyone else about this, so it's an avenue to feel not quite so out of control.
So thanks everyone here for the support! The forum certainly works for me, and thanks so much to QQ for all the work to keep us all up to date and motivated.
Today I must admit I am feeling a bit frustrated. Still a big fat zero on the OPKs, although I missed last night which may have been the prime time. I tested this morning, but got nothing, and then again nothing tonight. I got a normal result on the CD21 test before, so I know I am ovulating, so maybe they are just not sensitive enough. I am always pretty well hydrated, so perhaps the test is too diluted.
Anyone got any advice? I am using boots OPKs.
But, BD'ing anyway! Finger crossed it's the OPKs that are wrong and not me.0 -
