Cant believe that you lot are all going over it like it s a new car - its 12 years old! It wont be like new.

Which engine is it? I had a 2.5 as a hire car for a bit - quite nice, but slow for what it was and thirsty. Back from the bad old days when Ford though you could dress up a Ford and sell it for more :-)

Depends if you can afford the fuel.

If you want an opinion try http://www.jaguarforum.co.uk/ it's free to register and we don't bite but are admittantly biased :D

I' ve had other big cars and personally jag's have something about them that other, arguably better, german big cars don't have. e.g. My X-type vs mates BMW. The BMW is technically better, more fuel efficent, faster but somehow doesn't feel as good. Soulless even.

Drive it and see if you like it, I always thought an X-type was just a Mondeo in drag until I drove one. 18 months later the car just gets better and better. (09 x-type 2.2d sovreign estate). My only problem is do I replace it with an XF when warranty runs out or keep it until it dies?

Sounds like a bargain to me - don't know why you're so scared of a bit of work on consumable items.

Just been doing some sums, and even my 1.8 Zetec engined Focus would benefit from an LPG conversion. It would pay for itself in under a year.

Autogazpol's prices are almost as cheap as Dutch garages charge. One thing though, why only mobile phone contact no.s ?. That's the sort of thing fly-by-nights use.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

    Member #1 of £1,000 challenge - £13.74/ £1000 (that's 1.374%)

    3-6 month EF £0/£3600 (that's 0 days worth)

Ive noticed a few companies have only mobiles, guess its the money saving contracts with quidco on offer vs expensive business land lines and they can answer the phone anywhere any time

autogazpol have been there for ages

primwell pz900 (apparently high performance tyres)

    LOL - Funny joke!

Seriously - Prime Well's are *the worst* tyres I've ever had... ever.

They are in *no way* high performance tyres (unless you want to find a ditch in the shortest space of time)

    well....

got there and your screens are obviously better than mine for some reason, as the back seats were a mess.
the owner clearly had his dog on the back seats, the car stunk of dogs and there were scratch marks and hair, i nearly retched.

the dealer offered to drop £200 off, then eventually went to £950 his cost, just to clear the space as he had more cars coming, I still rejected it though...
i did however get a great deal on another car - a bmw so worked out well.
Ive cancelled my ebay sales too obviously.

thanks for all the tips though and id def recommend the seller though.
