Why put it back on ebay? I don't get it

Im a bit scared by the prospect of owning it and requiring mega expensive work ?

I didnt expect to win it and until it is LPG converted its gonna pass everything on the road except a petrol station..

gotta decide to get a newer car for a little bit more money or lpg this for a bit more money and wasnt planning on spending too much more money on a car once id replaced mine. If it reaches more than i paid, then I havent lost our really, as the dealer has other jags at similar prices and condition/ newer ones even that I could bid one if I didnt see something else I liked..

But you haven't even run it yet to see what kind of mpg it actually gets - I had a v6 golf that done low 30's no problem, and my 328i was capable of much the same if i didn't use the loud pedal. Even with it i was still getting high 20's. It won't cost THAT much in fuel if you're sensible

re cleanliness I thought it looked clean on the seats to be honest and only noticed the rub onthe steering wheel and the satnav/dash, any sign of incontinence and im outta there lol

yeah, Im gonna pick it up tomorrow and drive the 100+ miles back motor and urban so it will be a good gauge for fuel and handling i guess.

just have to make sure not to let it fully rip or it will be the quickest way ill loose my licence, as currently driving a 60 plate corsa (hire car) but this will be in a different league by far

    60 in what 7.5s new? so around 8.5 now.... It's not a super-car, it's about as nippy as a warm hatchback :p

It'll feel quite effortless though, I doubt it'll feel like it wants to be driven hard.

You got it for ok money but not really a bargain IMO.

I went to many car auctions recently and the biggest shock was the big engined executive cars. Dealers don't want them because public don't want them, which is a combination leading to massive bargains to be had. I wouldn't be surprised to see that go for 900 at auction (inc fees). We saw some shockingly low prices there I can tell you... why didn't I buy any? Because I was after a smaller car... like everyone else!

It's funny to see a Corsa or Fiesta drive in after a Merc or a Jag and see them fetch much more, despite the Merc or Jag being obviously "worth" more... but its market forces, people want small cars now.

I could be wrong but I don't think it'll fetch you much profit on eBay. eBay's where bargain hunters go and the prices aren't far off car auction houses usually.

I have to say I also think the interior is a bit worn for 58k... I've driven Mondeos with 100k that looked better than that inside... probably been clocked tbh.

MoT advisories are nothing to worry about.

i was worried about it being clocked but having checked the mots it seems to tally

it has failed the past 3 mot's initially though, but things have been corrected... not sure why the indicator was the wrong colour one year though

Yep - spot on. A mate of mine got a supercharged one not long ago. Paid peanuts for it. It'd been nowhere and was mint. The 20MPG was probably something to do with why they got shut. He did too a month later probably because of the same reason.
not sure why the indicator was the wrong colour one year though

If its like a car I have, it has an orange bulb. Over time, the orange coating disappears making it more white than orange.

Smoking will have that effect on a cream leather interior.

Price is about right - not really a bargain. We retailed a 2000 one with one owner from new and FSH (a 3.0) and got £1600 for it.

Interior condition looks grand. They dont wear terribly well.

Like you, i dont think it will make the O/P much money on ebay.
