There is 17 months between Ds1 and DD. When DD was a babe she was a bit of a squawker  Anyway I was on the loo with the door open (as you do) and DS1 decided to bring his little sister to me by dragging her across the floor feet first. Poor DD was apoplectic by the time id hastily jumped up from the toilet and rescued her:eek::eek::eek:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Hi all
Woke up in a terrible mood this morning, not been sleeping right and its TOTM, felt better though the day and am much happier now - decided that if I come in 'under budget' this month, I will put that money saved towards the food slicer I am lusting after.
Really feel for you that have small people to look after, mine are all teenagers now, which brings its own ,ermm pleasures.... I had a 3 in 4 years and when 'new baby' arrived they each arrived with a new present for the other,s, found that smoothed the way in those early days... And as for reigns all 3 of mine sat on their behinds as soon as any type of harness was put on them and refused to move, I ended up looking like a pack-mule with youngest in a baby pack on my front, pushing a buggy, and a stoppy toddler begging me for a carry... Oh those were the days
HM fishcakes for dinner Mmmm..
Take care all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Afternoon all. Really enjoying the stories of the crazy toddlers. I threw up on my baby sister when I was a toddler:rotfl:
It's good to have OH home but it is so tiring as I'm doing everything for him because he can't move quickly or easily and the catheter is giving him hell. I get up to get ice/medicine every 1-2 hours when the catheter wakes him up pulling open the incisions making him scream and bleed, but A&E won't do anything for it, not even give us the missing catheter bags the hospital forgot. It then takes me half hour to get back to sleep so now all I can think about is the decent nights sleep I won't get for at least a week, let alone going back to work tomorrow or the exam I have in a few days
Not much else has happened, not much time for anything else!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Just to say that catheters are not nice! i hated mine and the one day i was HDU i had my wash and thay changed my sheets for me, with me still in the bed! (its amazing haow thay do that! i have trouble changeing sheets normaly!) anyway when it was all over the tube was coming out and then going under my bum and right up my back so i way laying on it! it then went out of the bed into the bag. They had moved the bag and tube to change my sheets and not put it back. It should go down the bed and then out at the bottem.
Well the trouble with this was that ever time i moved it would pull the tube! need i say more! So i told the nurse who did say sorry, I was told that she would sort it out soon but she just had a few things to do first. I siad that was fine. This was about 9:30 ish on the morning. I then asked a couple of other nuses for a bit of help with it. I got no were with any of them as they busy with stuff,They all said sorry we will sort it out for you in a min. It was 12 or 1:00 before i got it sorted. It was not plesnet! I do think on the funny side of it now but when it was going on i was not happy!
Iv had a catheter about 4 times now.
Are you ahving a nurse comming in to cheack on him? If so then tell her the trouble that he is having with it and she may be able to do somthing about it.
I hope your OH gets on the mead soon.
All the very best to you both.

Iv done the twins sosage risotto for there dinner tonight. Notr a clue what we shall have. It will be gone 9:00pm by the time she has come back and we have put the girls in the bath, done storys and stuff.
The chickens are doing great. They are so fuuny to whach, I wish id had some years ago! they are jsut great. I dont think ill ever be with out chickens now for the rest of my life! Anyone who has some space for some relly should save up and get some! You will love them and be amazed by them !
Well i hope that you are all doing well week to week,
Fun and ejoyment to you all:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Adelight.....have they not organised a leg bag for during the day? It has a shorter tube and fastens to his leg and therefore doesnt pull as much when he moves.....at night it then gets attached to a night bag but as he is still wearing the leg bag fastened to his leg it stops it pulling as the bag gets heavier. There is a spout at the end of the leg bag and this is what the tube of the night bag gets "plumbed into" if that makes sense.
I sympathise with the lack of sleep business having not really had a proper night sleep for over 8 years lol....it makes everything seem worse.....you will feel much better once he gets sorted and you get some sleep. x0 -

My brother locked me in a cooler basket thing when i was a baby.....
I'm going to a local pub with my friend - still not drinking so reckon i'll spend about £5 at the very very most tonight.
I've been so good, made OH's lunch and whipped up a bacon and mushroom pasta bake from scratch since i've got in - just needs a sprinkle of cheese and a heat up in the oven and it's ready to go! Glad i halved the recipe....there's 4 servings in there atm - would of ended up with far too much!
Also had my bath and just doing my hair and putting my face on, then good to go!
I'm considering a career change....not immediately, but i'd love to work with animals one day, and am looking into distance learning to get some qualifications under my belt and volunteering at a rescue centre on a saturday or something too.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Thanks halight, there is no nurse coming to check, not scheduled to see anyone until he gets it out on the 25th.
He says A&E didn't even look at it even though he told them it was bleeding from the bladder and the end where the widening part of the tube is stretching open the incisions at the entranceWe think there may even be a little infected bit as he can see a hard white lump. He's off to try a walk-in centre tomorrow.
