Afternoon All
Caught up a bit more sleep last night, so starting to come round, I need to remember I am not 21 any more:o;) But would not have missed it for anything.:beer::j:j:D
Popped to B&Q for Pensioners Wednesday as DH wanted some bits. Yesterday we were putting back the bottles we had got out for Saturday, so I decided to empty the cupboard an list what we had. Not more booze buying for quite a while me thinks! The fridge and freeezer are groaning at the seems, so definitely use up time. Will load the caravan with BBQ bits for when we go away;)
Just had a bit of excitement, a lady 3 doors away came rushing past our place, then rushed back, and then back past us again. I quickly put 2 & 2 together, as she lost her husband 2 or 3 years ago and got a little fluffy dog, and guessed it must have escaped. She was rushing towards the main road to see if it had gone there, another neighbour was touring round in her car, so I decided to go back into the cul-de-sac to see if it was in any gardens, and as I walked around the corner past her house he popped his head through a metal gate in one of the bungalows. I spotted it and opened the gate and picked it up to make sure it didn't escape again, and as I was walking back she was returning in tears, and almost collapsed when she saw I had him, she said she could not lose him too. She put his collar and lead on then we knew he was safe, and she started to compose herself (after a hug of course).
Breakfast was a stuffed flat mushroom, which I could not eat 2 of last night, I am finding I cannot each as much, and chicken and ham with some salad for lunch. Tonight is cold roast pork and lamb, with veg for me and chicken with fried new potatoes and spaghetti (tinned) for DH (he loves his carbs and doesn't gain weight!)
Molly you are quite right about DH being a typical Virgo, he cannot stand mess or clutter of any sort, and regularly if I start doing a cleaning job, he takes over, luckily I just shrug and go and do something else (or nip on here:D). However, his garage must be tidy and sorted, he is like a bear with a sore head if his garage is upset!! The car also must be clean, inside and out, and again the caravan must be washed before we go out every time, and all things like tyre pressure and wheel nuts checked.
I have been having a bit of the buying spree in my smaller size from the 70% Debehams sale, and everything seems to be fitting:D, so better keep the weight off now.
(((hugs))), spoons, Hi-5's, Positive Vibes as needed. Jayward hope the cold bug leaves your household soon, and you get more energy. Take care all DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -

Hi everybody,
Just having a few minutes on here(honest:))I've just been blackberrying with my neighbour in the fields down the street. After reading about people picking loads it was a bit disappointing, but managed a small bag. There were still loads not ripe,I even saw some with the flowers still on,must be the cooler (wet)weather further North :(and they were small, but its fairly pleasant today so it was a change and nice to be in the fields.
Got some mince in the sc for tea,and the bm is on-we've run out.
DS has been ebay'n,he and DH have taken a bathroom out for someone, roll top bath, nice sink and one of those Victorian style loos with a high cistern. The owner also has a dw,oven and other bits, and said if DS would put them all on and sell them he would split the profits.Nothing wrong they just want a change- some of it has already gone :j
Camelot, congratulations on the birth of your grandaughter-lovely.

he has fallen asleep on the sofa now. how can he be tired when he did zero walking?! :rotfl:"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
