Yes A levels tomorrow and dont I know it :eek::eek:
We had a fabulous day at Black Country Museum - in fact Ive been about 4 times now. Once with school and we had a Victorian school lesson and I giggled and got into "trouble" with the teacher. Well DD, who was about 6 at the time, went into fighting mode and told the teacher off good and proper and then promptly burst into tears. Bless her she was always feisty and protective x
Blondy - hope your hospital appointment goes well. I know the "dreaded" feeling very well x

May I allow myself a minor whinge? I must be PMT bound as I've felt like crying this morning. H has been banging on about how the kids won't get much out of BCM, then my mum started. She then said I am lucky to be able to the take the kids to the park so often. Seemingly no one can understand the fact that for the last 3.5 weeks everything I've done is for kids. I've hardly seen friends etc for coffee, been on my own a lot and at home within these 4 walls. So a day off and I fancied doing something different and all I keep getting is how the kids won't enjoy it, they're too young. So I can't be bothered. Might as well stay at home like usual. DS is now engrossed in cutting something out, I've still got washing to hang out, could do with making a loaf so perhaps time would be better spent here. Just ignore moe. Amd really tired and seriously grumpy
Have decided the cat is having a cat flap. I can't cope with the mucking around in the small hours. The kitchen door will have to be kept shut though to avoid any little presents being deposited further in the house. Mind you she can open the kitchen door so I hope to goodness she doesn't learn to do that whilst carrying a present!!!!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all!
For the first time in 17 years I have no kids to send back to school today! Feels a bit sad that they're both grown up now, but flipping marvellous that there's no shirt mountain to iron!!!!!!
Weather doesn't know what to do, so washing will be drying on the airer again, and there is a pan of fridge bottom soup simmering away for tea, both me and OH spent last night sniffing and sneezing, looks like the start of snot season is coming early chez jools. Might take DS shopping for some new jeans for college starting, will see if he can fit me in with his plans, DD not working today so I am sure she will keep me company at the shops, especially if there's a possibility of lunch, will see what money off vouchers we have stashed between us, she's worse than me when it comes to bargains, generally has a voucher for everything in her purse. Have a good day all!RIP Iain

Morning all
Bitsy - (((hugs))) to you x
Still feeling wobbly, but am in work today. Mainly cos I needed to take the car in to have the steering looked at, looks like it may be expensive to fix  so may have to look for a new car. I'm also meeting my ex-colleague for lunch today so didn't want to miss out on that! :rotfl:. I have no work kids til Friday as they are all on placement so I can just potter round the office doing bits and taking it easy.
Spoke to hospital yesterday re when my appointment may be, despite my letter saying 3 months, the waiting list is 6months . I'm going to try acupuncture to see if that helps before going private. Got first appt tomorrow, bit nervous but hope it works!
OS wise - who knowsdepends on how I'm feeling when I get home, may make something to eat or have freezer surprise.
DW may go on if it's full.
Have a good day all

hi all
Bitsey(hugs) school holidays can be difficult, I remember that stuck at home feeling, but it does sound like tiredness as well. Any chance of grabbing a nap? Or a treat?
Dolly used to do the going out early bit
Flutterby-good luck with the accupuncture.

off to do lunch0 -
Bitsy - Actually I totally disagree with your mother and husband and think your kids will really enjoy it and get a lot our of it - as will you. Why dont you take yourself and leave the kids with H or your mum. You need time out to re-charge your batteries. I do remember how stressful school holidays are and think you need a few hours away from it all. Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
