I have about a pint of milk that is on the turn. At the moment I'm using it for tea and I can drink it ok (fortunately it's skimmed milk so guess it takes a bit longer to go).

Is there anything that I can use it for otherwise I will end up throwing it at the end of the day?
this thread may help or this one

You could curdle it as buttermilk (lemon juice or vinegar) and use it in baking?

Thanks zippychick, I did a seach but couldn't find that post - must be going mad :D

I think scones is definitely the way to go, I had no idea that old milk was good in scones.... that will help on the snack front as my son is always hungry

...and just sitting here having a rather nomm-y lunch....basically from leftovers.

I had some baked potatoes, grated cheese and buttered bread left over from packed lunches.

So - I've blitzed the bread into breadcrumbs and just done a frittata from:
    - buttered bread blitzed into breadcrumbs
    - baked potatoes
    - sauted garlic and onion
    - leftover canned tomato
    - a few odd home-grown chard leaves from the garden

all sauted up in mixture of olive oil and butter.

    - 4 eggs with little milk and some seasonings (salt, pepper, smoked paprika) put over the top

    - the leftover grated cheese on that.

    NICE:D

love frittata - covers a multitude of sins at dealing with leftovers...

The resulting scones were really light. Usually when I make them they are quite heavy, but these today were gorgeous - had to hide them from the DS so he didn't eat them all ! :j

    THanks again zippychick
