Well after waiting for JackieO and Beedeedee to turn up (but never did :rotfl:), I was really surprised at how nice it was, it had a bit of a bite to it (maybe it was the mustard seeds i threw in) and best of all i must have had a couple of my 5 a day (which i don't very often get:eek:)

Does anyone know how to replicate them? Do I mix the corned beef with mash and onions or just onions? I have some McDougalls puff pastry mix which is out of date but will be fine so I thought I would use that up.
For tea tonight I have made a blueberry queen of puddings using half a stale lemon drizzle cake which I made last week, and some frozen blueberries which have been in the freezer since I don't know when, which I stewed lightly with a bit of sugar and thickened with a little cornflour and water. I used the blueberry mixture instead of jam on the top of the base, so I hope it turns out okay! I also ran out of sugar for the merringue so used half sugar and half splenda!
Just edited to add that the merringue was a bit odd with the splenda - more like marshmallow!
Home made pasties may help

Hi still using up leftovers and have resisted buying eggs. Instead I have checked my own ingredients at home and have been reading about egg substitutes/recipe suitability so have resolved this. It might be worth reading about these substitutions and how to use them, as there are quite a few that you may find you already have.0

Have four sausages left over form last nights tea.
Will cut them into slices tonight and mix them with salad in a wrap for the two girls and I.
OH can not eat any insoluble fiber at the moment (collitis) and ala raw veg/salads are a no no. Have got a couple of boiled eggs in the fridge so I might chop one up and mix it together with the sliced sausage and salad cream for his wrap. He can have a left over baked potato with it.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.
