I'm sure it will taste delish.............you can always add extra seasonings later. Are you serving with rice/noodles/mash - or waiting till later to decide?0

My lovely left overs this week were on Monday .I have dinner at my DDs every Sunday and if there is only enough left over for me (she has a family of 7) my DD boxes it up for me to take home .
Last Monday night I had three roast potatoes some brocolli, some carrots, two sausage rolls (she always makes a plateful for her little boys as some of them prefer them to sliced meat )and three slices of roast beef .I put the box into the fridge on Sunday night and on Monday night with some fresh gravy I had a lovely roast dinner .I have threatened her with dire consequences if she even thinks about giving to the dogs. They can have their own food .Left over roast dinner is definitely for humans not dogs:)

JayJay14 - Yes it can be disappointing if you do not get the same results next time. I tend to write down my recipes for future reference with a note of how it was and what other variations work.0

I have got left over mincemeat from christmas, I made a lightly spiced fruity mincemeat with lots of nuts and i used a touch of Archers peach schnapps instead of brandy to keep the light taste to it. Its still good and the jars were well sealed. But i have 6 jars of it! Other than the obvious mince meat pies and mincemeat on top of ice cream is there anything else i can do with it?Bankruptcy Supporters Club No.1790

That sounds good!
My mum used to make an apple and mincemeat pie which was quite delicious, particularly when served with vanilla ice cream.I've made mincemeat muffins before which were pretty good, too.
I've also read on this forum that some people put mincemeat in / on their porridge: it didn't appeal to me when I tried it, but it might be worth a go to see if you like it.Back after a very long break!0 -
Oh that's great thank you, I will definitely try the mince meat muffins!Bankruptcy Supporters Club No.1790
