Excellent idea - I've also used small portions of left over bolognese sauce in place of tomato sauce on HM pizza - it's smashingPeople Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Hi everyone, quick question if anyone can help pls, I made a Christmas pudding in November, steamed hot on Christmas day and leftovers are still hanging around in the fridge. It looks fine, will it still be ok?0

Christmas pudding will be just fine to eat if it has been stored in an air tight container or well wrapped up. We will be living on them as I bought 10 in Wilkinsons last week for 10p each !!!!!! BargainHello Payday! How are. . Hey where are you going? . . Please don't walk out on me.

Our leftover special this week was
cooked chicken breast and bits left over from a roast
1 cup of hm chicken soup left over from previous evening
chop up chicken into soup and reheat gently. Wrap in tortillas. Put into oven tin lined with non-stick paper (previously used and washed - brownie points please). Make up thick, basic white sauce from cornflour, butter and milk in microwave. Pour over tortillas and top with gratings from end of cheese
Bake at 160 C fan until tortillas are golden brown.
This was a Godsend, as DD's bf came to tea unexpectedly. Fortunately, he had seconds, so that was ok. Served with salad. Had crumble from leftover Cox apples and some dried apricots afterwards0 -
Fell for Jamie Saves our Bacon plea to buy shoulder of pork this week...! Much more expensive than I thought it was going to be and so it needs to do a few more meals following the roast. It was HUGE and delicious (slow cooked). I've picked all the meat off the bone and have an enormous amount left! Apart from cold cuts and sandwiches, does anyone have any ideas for what can be done with it?0

I'd probably use some of it for a sweet and sour style stir fry I think - that's a flavour that would work well with the slow cooked pork shoulder. Other than that, how about a pork & apple pie or savoury crumble?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Both of those sound lovely thank you - how do you make a savoury crumble?
(Had a stir fry disaster last night - so will steer clear for a while!)

Perhaps some type of risotto or combine it with other ingredients to make pasties eg pork and apple. We did this with the leftover lamb from Christmas- OH made lamb and mint pasties and they were yum!

Just had a whoopsied beef joint from sainsburys for sunday dinner. I have quite a large piece left for tomorrow but not sure what to do with it? Any suggestions? Can it be stewed/put in slow cooker after it has already been roasted?
Kerik - could you make a pork stirfry with your leftovers and serve with rice/noodles or possibly chilli pork wraps? HTH0
