Sounds tiring but rewarding... I think I would pick the frozen meal too. Hope it was tasty!
I was tempted by the freezer but we (3 of us) had lovely chicken fajitas with loads of peppers, onions, mushrooms to make it feel more! DD had fishfingers, micro chips and beans - I was grateful as didn't want to share LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Went out last night with friends from home visiting Manchester - feel awful today:( - all self inflicted:o
I have managed (just) to do a load of washing, walk for 40 mins to pick up the car (nearly killed me), hoover and tidy downstairs, do 3 hours of school work and have a sleep!
Hopefully tomorrow I will be back on form......an early night I think....0 -
Hi WW, stumbled on your diary and the title caught my eye!
Firstly, congratulations on becoming debt free:j (once the bonus arrives;)).
I'm recently debt free too and determined not to get into debt again so am hoping to pick up some tips here and there - hope you don't mind but I've subscribed to your diary.
I may well start one (I did yonks ago but never got around to putting much down:o) in the hope it keeps me on the straight & narrow.
I did the "what DFW things will you do today" thread for a while but it moves too quickly for me to keep up
but I like lists - I write things down all over the place as I worry I'll forget them (but never actually do) so maybe the diary is the way to go!:)
A couple of similiarities have jumped out at me while I've been reading .....- I'm nearly 40:eek: too - although mine doesn't hit until we've made it into 2012 (but in the 1st 1/2)
- I'm also single and have a dog (but have 2 cats too
)
I have done a new budget and it's ... OK but quite tight so I really need to keep on top of things so I don't end up in the red again.
I'm useless at budgeting and have never meal planned in my life - hoping if I can "master" these, it'll help keep me on the straight & narrow!
Anyway, enough for now, congratulations again!:DGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Hi WW - you still get a lot done even on your "off" days - so congratulate yourself. Hope you feel better tomorrow, and hope your time out with friends was worth the hangover!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hello Rising and SH - thanks for popping in!
I'm almost back to normal today - at almost 40 I should know better! I am officially past it now!
Back to work today - a hard slog when you're not feeling 100%. Over now though thankfully.
Its pouring here now and has been for about 3 days solid - horrible when you have a dog to walk 3 times a day - poor pooch is constantly soggy and I'm changing 3 times a day:mad:
Its not cold though - just flipping wet!
Payday on Friday - can't wait! If they get my money right this month it means the CC is paid off again and I can put some money back into the savings accounts:T.0 -
well done on that good money management - really hope they sort your pay out this month!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

So do I!
Was just thinking about the shopping list for the weekend and realised that I've had a few good freebies lately including a decent sized tube of toothpaste, a full sized pack of face wipes to test, a pack of Always and a FunkyPigeon card.:T
Just goes to show that its worth filling in a form sometimes and checking the freebies board - I only apply for something that I'd use though, no point in sending off for stuff that will just clutter the house whilst someone else could use them.
I need to do a big shop on the weekend - the freezer is almost empty apart from things like wedges, bread and veg - nothing to make a meal out of by the end of the week.
I'm off to a charity do on the weekend with my best friend - its a black tie thing so will need to dress up. Will ring the hair dresser tomorrow too - can hardly see through my fringe:eek: and need to look decent(ish).
The dog will also be in the kennel for the night - costs a bomb but I can't remember the last time he was away from me so it won't hurt him just this once. Always makes me feel guilty though.:o0 -
Always nice to get your hair done - I need to check when my appointment is booked for - I can never remember
Will be nice for you to get away. I am sure your dog will cope for a one-off. I know my sis has started looking for dog friendly places to stay due to the cost of kennels so that might be an option to explore in futureAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm staying with a friend and don't want to inflict my pooch on her - even though she does like him we'll be out all night, if we were staying in I'd take him with me - he'll survive for once.
Not too much to tell you today - just been to work, walked the dog locally (saving on petrol), hoovered downstairs and made tea from some bits ready to walk out of the fridge by themselves (in the oven now).
May do a bit of work later - we'll see how I feel - may just watch telly....0 -
amused at the bits walking out of the fridge by themselves.... I really need to make some soup for the same reason.... Perhaps later.... too tired right now!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
