Hi WW,
Just popping in. I read on here somewhere that for much cheaper heating bills time your heating to come on & off in the evenings rather than on and stay on. This way your house doesn't have chance to get cold before the heating comes on again but it saves quite a bit in costs.
Sounds obvious but i'd not thought of it til I read it here!#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Thanks Linz!
I think I do that but not on purpose! If the heating is on for too long it gets too warm so I put it on the hour function and then a few hours later press the button again!
I've just put it on for the second hour - it 3C here tonight (according to the weather man) so I think I can justify it!0 -
I'm still resisiting heating.... wearing dressing gown over clothes is such an MSE look I feel LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good job its not a complete disaster like it would have been pre-MSE. They are going to put it right at the end of the month need to survive long enough - sure I will but its irritating
you're good that you let them get away with this, i've once had an employer muck up my pay rise thereby giving me less money and i insisted that they paid me what they had gotten wrong by bank transfer. I was desperate for the money though, but i think i would still insist i got it if it was a substantial amount.0 -

Oh no! Hope you're not too cold tonight and that it doesn't cost too much to fix - hugs for you (might keep you warm too!)
Its still cold here too - seems too cold for the time of year doesn't it?
One more day to go at work - shattered today!
Not planning on doing much tonight - making a nice tea of quorn meatballs and pasta, having a bath and watching telly. I will have to make a start on my performance management stuff for work but will only do half an hour or so - I've done about 2-3 hours of work every night this week and after a full 7.30- 4pm day that's enough!0 -

I considered insisting on this... but I knew the girl that had made the mistake and didn't want to get her in any more trouble.... I also felt awkward as I'm on a phased return back to work..... I will get it by 31st so not too bad... not waiting a whole month like you would at some companiesAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Just two words..... HALF TERM!!!!!!:j:j:j
Am pooped! Need a bit of a rest and recharge - nothing much planned for the weekend but I'm sure I'll find plenty to do.
Off for a glass of wine and a flop on the sofa!0 -

Hooray, I'll drink to half term too!!:beer:
I am doing exactly the same as you tonight - the sofa, with a blanket and just off to pour myself a drink of something alcoholic.
And relax......:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
