Yes I'm a science teacher - just spent 4 hours writing lessons for the week coming. At least, now the only stuff I have to do during the week is the dreaded marking:mad: (and teach of course!)
Just 5 more days then almost a week off - I'm working on the half term Monday morning - I volunteered to do a revision class for the year 11s as they have exams straight after the hols - I'm just too soft! Weepy teenagers get me everytime!
Will probably pop to Wales for a day or two during the hols and spend a bit of time faffing around at home and getting the jobs that you never have time to do done.
Nothing on the telly again tonight so I'm thinking a nice tea, dog walk and a movie from the planner. I'm really tired after only about 5 hours disrupted sleep last night but have managed to do all of my work - quite proud of myself!0 -
Well done - you sound very committed. I remain grateful for all the extra maths lessons my maths teacher put on - I was top set but heading for a D in the mocks and came out with a B 6 months later so a lot of credit to her I felt!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

hi there. I like your diary. Nice to see you getting on an even keel after the split. those things are always hard. Good on you if you can keep it amicable.
Nice one on the grocery spends that is really very good indeed.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks Chev and SH!
Just checked the bank and everything has been paid off and the rest is now safely nestled in savings accounts.:j
Not much to report today - just another long day at work followed the weekly torture of a meeting after school. Took lunch though and have had a NSD for once.
Lentil moussaka and salad for tea to use up the bits in the fridge - am starving now!
Staying in and watching soaps and Doc Martin and doing a bit of marking tonight and having a bit of a rest. 4 more days!0 -
Well done WW - must be a great feeling.... I on the other hand got paid wrong this month!! Only got half what I should have done... Good job its not a complete disaster like it would have been pre-MSE. They are going to put it right at the end of the month need to survive long enough - sure I will but its irritatingAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good job you can survive the money drought SH!
Its infuriating isn't when they mess your money up! You've earned it!
Just another day at school for me today - long day but not a bad one. I've got yet more marking to do tonight - it never ends!
Can't decide what to have for tea - either a 5 bean chilli or quorn meatballs. I suppose I should have whatever uses up the fresh stuff in the fridge.
Still not got the heating on - although it was chilly this morning - but I was up and straight out to work so not worth putting on. I have a bath after the evening dog walk and seem to keep warm with PJs, a dressing gown and a fleecey throw watching telly. The weather is getting colder though - don't know how much longer I will last.....0 -
I gave in - now have 2 hours a night, 2 hours in the morning set on the boiler!

Hi Jaffa! Its definitely getting harder to keep the heating off - I may give in for an hour later if I have to..... The house is only 10 years old and has lots of insulation, double glazing etc so keeps warm once it warms up so hopefully that will be enough.
Having a use up day for tea - mushroom burger, bap and wedges from the freezer and some sorry looking salad from the fridge. Actually looking forward to it - shove in the oven sort of tea;)
Really can't wait for half term now - have finally run out of steam. Need a few days off to recharge a bit.
Two more days.....0 -
I have a wood fire so should technically be using that but it's such an effort at 10pm which is when my chill kicks in!
My house is 100 years old but I've an elderly gentlemen on one side and a baby on the other so once they get their heating on I hope it will warm up a bit!
Tea sounds lovely (as does half term but that just gives me one evening off as a student so not as good as you!)
