I havent read all this thread but I dont agree with the original proposition.
Criminals should have all their benefits removed while they are in prison. Once you have come out of prison your debt should be considered paid off and you should be given every assistance to become a 'normal' member of society.
The reason this is an issue is because most of us fear that the those convicted of rioting will get very lenient sentences. Time will tell whether this is the case but the early signs are not very encouraging I must say,0 -
Just out of interest does anyone think this women should be kicked out of her house?Mum hands son to police after seeing his face in riot picture
A TEENAGER suspected of looting has been arrested - after his mum spotted him in a picture of the mayhem - and dragged him to a police station. Officers were left stunned when the 15-year-old was marched in to the station by the furious parent.
She had seen his face in a picture of Tuesday's trouble. One police source said: She confronted the lad and persuaded him to hand himself in. It was good to see." He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and was being quizzed in police custody last night.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. What a shining example of mother-love. I think we can see where this poor kid's problems start.
Could just be a case of clever damage limitation, after all if she spotted his photo a good chance the police will also, either way it is good to see.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Well you would get sacked by your employer if you were charged with a criminal act such as looting. Would that help.
We had to sack a guy who got charged with attempted murder. The guy was innocent in the end. But you have to tow corporate line.
The general reason is bringing the company into disrepute. I dare say that assistant teacher has found that out.0 -

Doubt full as she is doing a correct thing in her community.
But I dare say the question asked by those that signed the petition would be should the child have access to council housing in the future?0 -
