What should we do to people who can't spell "lose"?

Don't know. That's a bit of a shame really. Shouldn't let the petitioner's minor faux pas stop us trying to get to the magical 100,000 so that some debate can take place about stripping disrespectful chav scum of their benefits.

What, in your opinion, makes these rioters deserving of harsher treatment than any other criminals - for example those who commit murder or rape? I've no sympathy for the rioters, but this petition is typical of the kind of knee-jerk reaction that pre-empts any detailed debate about what might be a fair and effective way to combat this kind of thing.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Seems like the government's latest wheeze is likely to lead to most MPs having an extra free day a week for their extra-mural activities while a near-deserted Commons goes through the motions of debating a no-hope motion with very few supporters.

What we do learn, though, is how many political arguments go straight over the heads of the voters.

Let's face it, the only sensible thing to do with undesirables is to have them put down, like dangerous dogs. Any alternative will expose us to risk or cost us money, neither of which is acceptable.

  • I hope this is true, but it will probably be against their human rights.

It's never going to get anywhere near the true number of signatures, as you can't actually get to the site to sign it!!
  • I doubt it could realistically become law, but it signals that many of the British public have strong views on the perceived benefits culture and that it's a subject worthy of debate at the highest level. Labour will have to tread carefully here.

This suggests that law abiding taxpayers have to be held to ransom by those who threaten to kick off if they're not pacified with free cash. This is the kind of attitude that we have created and it does need to be dealt with.

I will correct the obvious error:
