Doesn't mean it was though does, are you saying that all other crime suddenly ceased for six days? the courts are just processing cases and numbhead journalists are jumping to conclusions
Are you now having a laugh. Do you really think looting greggs is a daily occurrence!!
A: the food is behind a counter and they have staff who could deal with a loan aggressor..
B: if they did it out of works hours they would need to cook everything first.
Come off it you used the point and misread where the crime was. I would leave it there.;)0 -

I'm not thick. It's you writing it.
How do you know why she did it, shooting from the hip again?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. What do others think?
Well, it is basmati, so that makes it a bit more discerning.
Did anyone else looking on with absolute horror at the poor Malaysian lad being mugged, want the mugger to be hauled up not only for the theft, but also for littering?
Or am I just too tidy?0 -
Doesn't make sense that at all, what if you employ someone who has been in jail?
What so you cant understand that an employer may be responsible for the welfare of their workers if soemone has just been charged with a crime. (employing after jail is different)
EG a drink driver and they deliver goods for you.
Murder could also hold a risk to staff if the person has just commited murder.
Some one who has been in jail should be let out if they are believed to be unlikely to re-offend also asking for criminal background is standard practice? So employing someone who has served time and sacking someone who has offended while in your employment are two seprate things.
Do you really not think people lose jobs down to bringing the company into disrepute? Doing anything illegal would be instantly justifiable in most cases (obviously not speeding but it could if you were a chauffeur)0 -

Good idea! The Malaysian guy has been so dignified and I can't believe he is so calm about it, nor that he wants to stay here to finish his studies. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

True, but even you must admit that travelling to M/cr city centre to loot a bag of food is a bit odd with all open shop fronts'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Not only that but he wants to live in the same place 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. I love this board. I love the way people can have Shakespearean-style plot and sub-plots going on within one thread. I love the way StevieJ can hop over to other posts (thanks, StevieJ - have just posted a question to you about shorting), and then come and battle with Graham and Really2.
(Is it just the cricketting success which is making me feel so benevolent?).
PS - the petition is now up to 143,710. This is, I think, just the only way the poor, disenfranchised people in middle England, who feel they have no voice, can make a stand (without rioting, that is).0
