  • Morning all! Off to w*** again, but then it's the weekend :j :j :j :j :j

We're all going to London for the day tomorrow, on the train, to see [STRIKE]As You Like It [/STRIKE]just been corrected by DD Much Ado About Nothing (with Tamsin Grieg) at the theatre. Will be a great day out, but need to leave the house at 7am    We're then having an old friend who we haven't seen for ages for supper on Sunday. DH has asked me to pop into the butcher on my way to w*** to get a joint of something. Pork, I think.

Have a great day, Penny. x

    morning all :hello:

back to work after Xmas :( I'm going to miss spending all day with DD and DS as this is 1st time I've had this long off over Xmas, but new job is still exciting enough that I don't mind going back :)
(it's just this early morning bit)

out for a meal tonight as we've spent the week using up food,
last night made a lovely cottage pie and used some leftover mustard grain cheese in the mash :D
it's always cheese I have leftover
another dish I make is to stuff chicken breasts with any cheese, wrap tightly in bacon, fry to brown then cook in oven,

have a great day everyone xx

have you thought of putting things on freecycle if you can't sell them?

:hello: Gooooooood Morning fellow OS'ers :D:D:D

N9eav - if Freecycle doesn't work out you could try having a look at this website (not used it personally) Charity Request or Donate a PC to Charity and on the recycling front Recycling Computers & Peripherals or have a look at Waste Online

Essex girl - enjoy your ride :j It's years since I went horseriding and it can be so exhilerating (even the falling off bit :o ) I'm sure you'll be fine and won't fall this time ;) ((hugs))

TKP - :T :T Congrats on your weight loss! :D

Kaz - :T :T Congrats on that assignment!! It must feel like a weight off your mind, especially as it wasn't one you were particularly keen on. WTG! :D :T

mineallmine :hello: Hope you find some bargains in Superdrug and manage to avoid catching a cold! I was on the verge of coming down with one but at the first sign of a sneeze a friend recommended those dissolveable Vit C tablets (Tesco own brand less than £1) Mine never fully developed :j Now, could be coincidence, but, hey, got to be worth a try and maybe you'll find some in Superdrug while you're there. ;)

dlb - ((get well soon hugs)) for your ds. Maybe he'll be feeling better later today and you'll be able to make it out with your friends?

Have fun Pen Pen!! Enjoy the train journey, if you're anything like me, you'll use the time to do something on the journey ;) :rotfl:

Not sure how the day will unfold today and I don't really want to tempt fate by writing my to do list ... the past couple of days, no matter what I've planned, it hasn't panned out quite that way :o Ho hum!

I do need to make a few phone calls and chase up some appointments and catch up with a few people that I didn't get to see over the holidays. We're planning a gathering and lunch sometime in the New Year and as most of the children will be back at school by mid next week, someone needs to get the ball rolling :rotfl:

Enjoy a frugal moneysaving Friday; ((hugs)) for free today, help yourself :D:D

Will be thinking of you today at this difficult time. I'm sure your spot will pale to insignificance as the day unfolds and no one will really notice ((hugs))

I echo everything Queenie says above, particularly thinking of Anniestar today x

Well, yesterday I went to the supermarket and got lots of reduced bread for the freezer and some bogof stuff for the cupboard. I have decided that one way to curb my spending is only to take a basket with me rather than a trolley. It seems to be working so far!

All day yesterday I did paperwork relating to our finances - claiming back bank charges, letter of complaint to Egg, sorting out errors on our credit file etc etc. By the end of the day my back ached and my head buzzed, but hopefully it was a job that will reap rewards.

But, I didn't make time for my flylady challenges yesterday, so must try harder today.

DH and the children are due home from France tomorrow evening, so today really is my last day of peace and quiet!

Have a good day everyone. My thoughts are with those who know their day is going to be difficult, one way or another.
