Morning All - Hope we are well

Didn't sleep too well, so Im a a little tired. House at the back of us, kept their security light on, it was like trying to sleep amongst the Blackpool Illuminations. I first thought it was our light, so got OH to go down n switch it off. He turned the kitchen light on, blew the bulb, and the fuse box tripped a switch, then he stood in something slimey. Dog had coughed up phlem. So he had to fumble in the dark for the fuse box, then cleaned the mess up. When he eventually came back to bed - he said it wasn't our light.

It kept us awake too crazychik, they must have one hell of a powerful bulb in it, dh thinking about going round and telling them, last night wasnt the first night it has happened, i keep waking dh up thinking it is time for work!!!!

Ds1 is going to be so pleased when he gets home from school, his gameboy sp has just sold on ebay for the buy it now price of £70!!!! He bought it with his own money so the cash is his which he was hoping to get some new ds games with. Im really shocked it went for the asking price i told him it was too high but he insisted on £70, so he was right and mum was wrong!!!!

Ds2 feeling a little better and babysitter has said she will still have them even if hes still feeling unwell, so i can still go out later.:j

    Catch u later

    Morning All

((Hugs)) to Anniestar, will be thinking of you

Loads to do today and DD is wearing knickers on her insistance, so this must be potty training take-3.

Going to make a start on taking the decorations down today, get on with some Flyladying and find some bits to list on ebay, we have decided that DD needs to go into a bed so I've decided to decorate her room with money made off ebay.

    Have a good day everyone

((((hugs)))) to Anniestar and Stormybay (I don't think she reads this thread but I read her story and it was heartbreaking).

Amie Hope the abcess goes soon.

md123 good luck with your test. I took my test when I was 30. I rambled on and on all the way through it. It was the only way I could cope with the nerves. I did make the examiner laugh though when I said that taking the test was worse than giving birth! And the lovely man even gave me some help with the questions at the end. I passed!

DS is at school and DD is still in bed (poorly but improving). Plans today are to take all the shredding I did last night to the recycling centre. Then I need to phone the credit union to organise some finance for my parents' house purchase. Then I intend to blitz my bedroom to try and reclaim some of the floor. About a third of the floor is taken up with birthday and Christmas presents that I have bought in sales. I need to organise them better to make room. After that, I will be using up the rest of yesterday's pork mince to make some cottage pie or something similar. Haven't really decided yet. Will see what I have too much of and that will dictate what I will be cooking.

Well, off to have my porridge now. x

Beds have been stripped, WM is on with bedding and DW has been emptied. Cleaner will be here at 11.

Sold one of my old Boyds Bears on Ebay last night and got £31.00:T ..also sold a new top which I paid £3 for £12:j :j ...up to my target for January already. Will move the money to current account and put towards my rad covers.

    Morning everybody :hello:

    ((hugs)) anniestar

Found some really good bargains in the sales yesterday :D A pair of luuuurvely dark pink leather boots from Jones Bootmaker, £25 (down from £75), a pair of jimjams and a pretty pendant from Next, £4 (was £15) and £3 (was £6), a top for work from Wallis £12 (was £25) and a jumper from Jasper Conran at Debenhams £12 (was £40 - and I almost bought it last week when it was only reduced to £28, so my patience really paid off there!)

I still need a couple of pairs of smart trousers which fit me properly, several things for the flat, a pair of decent supportive casual shoes/trainers for walking to and from work and around London, and a smart (but not too "black tie") party dress or top for a posh charity awards dinner I have to go to in a couple of weeks. I also could really do with getting a bike, Halfords seem to have some really good sale deals so I'm hoping to get over there tomorrow morning.

My sore throat has really flared up again, it's been going on for over a week now so I wonder if it might be a bacterial infection that can be treated with antibiotics  ... the only problem is that I haven't yet signed up with a new GP since moving house  so will have a look on the NHS website today and try to get registered with a local practice. A persistent throat infection is a bit of a problem when you are a singer. I am supposed to be singing Bach all weekend, we'll see how it goes, as long as I can do my regular Sunday morning job (which is paid, and is one-to-a-part so I really am needed!) then the Bach choir can do perfectly well without me if they have to. I also feel quite guilty when I'm not fit to have singing lessons, as my singing teacher is semi-retired and is finding things a bit tight financially, and because my lessons are on an ad hoc basis, he's not making any money out of me at the moment :(

PenPen, lucky you going to see Much Ado :) - I think Tamsin Grieg's really funny, though I didn't realise until that BBC4 documentary the other day that she is also on The Archers!

    See you later

Penny Lucky old you, did you see her in Green Wing last night?

No, I'm not a big TV watcher, but love her accent (from the Archers).

Eventful morning, DH has taken my car, and left me his. I asked him to move my stuff over, and went out to find...............no briefcase. The numpty turnip has taken it to w*** with him      Office keys, lunch box, diary (luckily I'd left my laptop on my desk). So no idea if I've got anyone coming to see me tody :D

May try swede and potato mash with sausage casserole in the slow cooker for tonight.

If I can rouse myself will make me and DH home made cauli cheese for lunch.

Enjoyed my trip to Leeds yesterday and got a couple of extra pressies for DD(12) - she will be thirteen on the 12th!

    Morning everyone :hello:

I slept with the phone next to the bed last night, just in case an early call came in desperately needing a supply teacher. No joy. :( However, I wasn't expecting much work in the first couple of weeks of schools being back, so yesterday was a bonus and I have half a day booked for next week so far. I REALLY need a "proper" job!

I bumped into a friend last night when I was getting my reduced Boots bargains. She's going on maternity leave from her school in April, so I may send in my CV...... but I'm not sure whether I want to teach. I'm having a real crisis of confidence at the mo, and I don't know WHAT I'm actually good at. Or how I go about finding another job (other than the local paper which is woeful).

In the meantime, I think I'm going to have to take another trip into town to do some more sales shopping. My gran gave me a bit of money for Christmas, which I have already spent some of on ebay - a brand new pair of trousers from one of my favourite shops for £11 (including postage!). :D

I also need to pop into the library to return a couple of books, so I suspect that I need to get a wriggle on if I'm going to achieve anything today! :o I've got 3 bananas that need to be used up in a banana loaf and a stack of ironing. Supper tonight is tuna napolitana - using up store cupboard bits and pieces - to be washed down with a glass of white wine or two.
