  • Good morning folks! :hello:

Not much to report really. Feeling a little icky and shivery so I'm pleased it's an easy day. I resisted the urge to buy a bacon sarnie though so am feeling a little angelic.

Back to our bell ringing lessons tonight - we haven't been since before Christmas so we'll probably have forgotten everything. Still, it's a chance to annoy the people living near the church. :D

Have just ordered the panels needed for our camper to arrive next week. I must start having a look to see what else is needed for the MOT. Oh how I hate rust.

Anyway, have a lovely day all. :)

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well :)

Anniestar thoughts are with you, hope everything goes ok

Got a stack to do today, kids back to school Monday which I am not looking forward to and need to sort everything for that. Make sure everything still fits etc after the Christmas eating you never know, make sure shoes etc fit, no intention dashing about Sunday at the shops if something is missing/broken/too small.

Dinners in the SC, bacon defrosting for lunch, but I still can't decide if I should put the potatoes in the SC with the stew or serve with mash or something. Having a right debate with myself over it lol

Have a few things to pop out and do but resisting for a little while as waiting for a call about the free holiday I was offered yesterday with details etc :)
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't been around for a while for things appear to have gone from bad to worst in my life of late.

Anyway, before I go on to ramble about my own problems hope everyone is well and had a good Christmas and New Year (sorry haven't had chance to read the threads for a catch up).

Not to bore you all but put simply the following has happened all since Christmas Eve!!!! FIL rushed into hospital in septic shock, was really touch and go and still is as they don't know what's causing it and he's not even keeping water down now, First Christmas without my nan (didn't realise how hard this would be), problems with friends, and oh to top it all off my parents have announced this week that they are thinking of getting divorced after 30+ years of marriage!!!!

This all coupled with the fact that I feel absolutely lost and seem to loathe myself every time I look in the mirror of late does not make for a happy tink :(

Sorry for moaning but I feel like it's just all gone to s**t of late! Thought that posting on here may start to get some kind of normality back as well as providing an outlet to talk to people .

Anyway, as always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning! (just:o )

(((((Hugs))))) Tink! Sorry you are so down, if you can try to take some time out for yourself it might help a bit, not easy I know.

(((((Hugs))))) also to Anniestar who has a difficult day ahead and also (((((hugs)))))) to Stormybay whose courage I found amazing and whose story is heartbreaking. I shall be thinking of her and her family today.

Bgn Rzl - Have you tried Manuka honey yet? It is meant to have anti-biotic properties and it is yummy, I pop it into a glass of hot water and lemon every morning.

Not sure how I am going to keep within budget today as we have friends round in the evening. Only for drinks and nibbles, so have plenty of crisps, nuts and savory biscuits in. Brain has gone blank now and I am not sure what else to put out  Any suggestions welcomed.

Don't think I'm going to hear from the BBC about the job I went for. Interviews start on Monday, so looks like I'm here a bit longer.

Over time is now looking to be around 10 hours for this month, as I'm now to meet MP Ann Widdecombe in a couple of weeks when she comes to town

    Hi

    Got up late

Started load of washing, there was some water in the machine. It is knocking on a bit and keeps flooding, but we are wanting move soon, WHEN when get it ready to sell:(

I can't wait to get away from here, the neighbours are inconsiderate and our son comes in at all hours bothering us. My husband is useless at sorting him out, so our son dominates our house and I don't get to sleep til Gawd knows when once he's home. There is no way I could go out to work.

Still got this cold and feel low, so dragging myself to pack. There isn't much to do but the lazy men don't seem to be doing anything. Our son is on holiday but his social life matters more. Then he will say he is too tired to do anything or busy working when they are over. This aggro has been going on for a year and it's bringing me right down to the point I can't run the house properly. I can't plan meals or work out what to shop for. Even getting his washing is a battle but need his stuff to make a load worthwhile. Our son's room is a mess and probably devalued the place. He is 19 next month and wish he would leave home so we can have a normal life. He has a job but I feel he will be taken for a mug if he shares. He has spent a proportion of his long term savings without telling us and he knows it was taboo to do that. He has a car but assumes everyone will pay for it's running. My husband undermines everything I try to sort out, yet does nothing to sort it. I am suffering here, but of course my husband says he feels he is suffering and that I am overfussy.

I feel like leaving NOW and renting a place and getting the place sold but feel they will have driven me out before time. It isn't very MS either.

Sorry to rant but I'm getting close to the edge and don't know what to do

Big hugs to you, it sounds to be a really horrible time for you. I hope FIL gets well soon.

Sitting here with a pot of tea while dishwasher does its thing - then I need to reload it!

May try swede and potato mash with sausage casserole in the slow cooker for tonight.

If I can rouse myself will make me and DH home made cauli cheese for lunch.

Enjoyed my trip to Leeds yesterday and got a couple of extra pressies for DD(12) - she will be thirteen on the 12th!

Big hug to everyone feeling ill - I just cannot wake up properly so slurping tea by the gallon! lol
My husband's birthday is on the 12th too. He says he used to miss out on pressies being so near, yet so far from Christmas. She will appreciate having her special day. Good look with the teenager:eek:

I dare not go near shops, we have so much stuff already. Packing seems to expose so much junk but I still can't throw things away.

I know how you feel being hard to rouse this week. I've been eating the Christmas chocolate
