Not that I have anywhere near enough Tesco vouchers to count...but that is very useful to know!! Thanks again!0 -
LJD1 wrote:Lol, you only gave me 11 minutes! But ok you're right, it does take minutes so i'll have done these two before tomorrow night! The reason for my procrastination (sp)....I put my bank card in the freezer in a tub of water to stop me using it. DON'T LAUGH!
That is one of the best things i have read on here to do. I always do this especially if Christmas is coming up, that way i can't take it with me to the shops and max it out. I only use it for Internet purchases. Another idea is to drive a nail through the chip on the card and that way it wont be accepted in a shop but you can still use it for buying thongs on the net, or just cut it up but keep hold of it so you can still use it for again on the net. Credit cards are lethal in shops especially around the times of sales or Christmas etc. and it is so easy to run away with spending.
good luck with your challenge, I'm sure you'll manage it0 -

I'm just wondering how many THONGS you buy on the net!!!!! Sorry, but that made me giggle, thanks for cheering me up!January budget

Lol, nah, def don't edit, I needed cheering up! Maybe that's my problem....I don't buy enough thongs.
On a studying note: got my tma back for my level 2 course today. I think i'm pleased with the result (got in the 70s) but it's quite a lot lower than the scores I got for level 1 courses. I know level 2 are a lot harder so i'm probably pleased with it but the perfectionist in me tells me I can do a lot better. I guess I've not done biology for over 20 years so I should be pleased. I'm going to go now before I waffle anymore!January budget

Well done though. A grade in the 70s is not to be sniffed at!
What are the next few goals to be ticked off your list?
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Oh you've put the pressure on, lol! Erm....ok...
1) Increase number of clients by one a week
2) Stop putting studying off as i'm only just keeping up!
3) Bug husband to stop three credit cards we no longer use
4) Sort out the paperwork in the house.....it really is in a right state with boxes of papers everywhere.
The first two are more long term goals so i'll aim to have acheived those by end of Feb. The second two are going to be done by the end of January.
I'm sure i'll think of a few more goals in the coming week but thanks for getting me back on track xxJanuary budget

hi LJD1
You are doing well so far with your challenge. Hope you manage to get more regular customers set up along the way.
Since I am now debt free I am following your example and working on "spring cleaning my life", my goals for this month are:
Clear out lots of "paperwork" clutter from the house.
Get up to date and organised with my studying.
Try to cut off work time from home time.
Start a vegetable garden:rolleyes:
Following your thread with interest:D
Oh and get hubby to cancel those unused cards as it will improve your credit rating. Unless you may want to use one in future for doing balance transfers onto.
Good luck with your goals

Hiya Sophiesmum,
It's great i'm not the only one spring cleaning my life! Nice to have a bit of support. I find that it feels great when I acheive a goal but I have to break it all down into little chunks as otherwise it's a little overwhelming.
I'm nearly up to date with studying accept we move onto the next chapter tomorrow so i'll be about 10 pages behind then. Doesn't sound much but it's all so complicated it can take an hour to do a few pages. At least i'm really enjoying it.
Good luck with your goals, I'll watch out for how you're doing.
Take care xxJanuary budget
