Well no interest in hubby's car at all so now we're going to sell mine instead. Mine is worth about £3000 and will pay off nearly half the debt so I guess it's a better plan instead. Hubby's car is old but mechanically sound so i'm hoping it's going to last another couple of years and then we can save for a newer one.

Incidentally, anyone know how I can get round this. A few months ago my car battery went dead. When we recharged it the radio wouldn't work and asked for a code which we never got when we bought the car. Phoned peugeot who want £25 to sort it out! Is this normal? I'd appreciate any advice.

    Hi LJD1

I can ask my DH tonight about the radio as he works in a garage if you don't get any other replies on it.

Sounds good about your car if you can half your debt.

How are the therapies going, have you done your hot stone massage course?

hope you have a great week

thanks for the slap BTW :D

That would be great if you could ask your DH about the car radio. If I have to pay the money I have to pay it but I want to make sure i'm not being ripped off! The hot stone course is next month but they phoned today to say that at the moment there aren't enough people on the course so it might be cancelled. I'll have to look round for another one.

    Right, back to this TMA.

The intro to homothepy one I was going to do was cancelled for that reason.

    Hi LJD

I asked DH about the radio he said they don't do it any more, but there are local companies that charge about £15 so it it may me worth looking around, no idea where you would look for that type of thing in your area though. The only way he thinks you will get it for free is if you know someone....any customers in the trade by any chance?

Pity about the course, do you use ellisons beauty supplies? They have a training academy and do various hot stone courses, its in Coventry though so I don't know if that is too far for you.

Hows the allotment going? all my seeds have arrived..far too many as we only have four raised beds, the rest I will have to do in pots instead of flowers. I just need to check them all now to see when they need to be started.

Hope you have a great week

Thanks for finding out Zippy. I must remember to make sure I get the code for the radio if I ever buy a new car again - cash only of course! I'm near Manchester so Ellison's is a bit far. We do have another place locally but the course is £400 as it includes the stones. I was hoping to save up for those at a later date.

The allotment is going well and it looks like we've got a free greenhouse for the garden too. We ordered seeds from the website you mentioned and are just waiting for them to arrive so thanks for that tip.

I've finished my tma so i'm having the night off!!!

    Hiya
I've not posted on here for a while so thought i'd update.

Hoping to finally sell the car this week - had to put selling it back a bit as my mum reversed into it and needed to save up to get the money to fix it. If I do manage to sell it that will make us more or less debt free so trying to do lots of extra work this month to pay off the balance.

Hubby is working away for a year now but hopefull back most weekends. I'd rather he was here but looking at it positively it'll mean we can start to pay off the mortgage. Being mortgage free is my next goal but think that will take sometime. Then again, never thought i'd get debt free so huge thanks to this sight and everyone on here who's given so much support. Fingers crossed i'll be debt free by the end of the month.

Hope you're all enjoying the weather xx
