Spring cleaning my life!

It's time to sort everything out once and for all. Reading posts on here over christmas I know i'm lucky and most of the rubbish that is affecting me is down to my mis-management of time and money. It's time to change and i'm a lot better off now than I was 12 months ago thanks to this board.
I'm setting myself five challenges a week, I have to complete three and make inroads into the other two. Some are to do with money and others are to become better organised as it's disorganisation that costs me money (e.g. no food in..... better get a take away). So here goes;
1) Change gas / electricity supplier (meant to do this three months ago but too busy not doing other things).
2) Set up direct debit for the one credit card we now have so it's easy for me to pay it off monthy instead of my hubby saying 'I forgot to send off the cheque'.
3) Get up to date with my studies.....2 assignments for college, one assignment for OU course, this weeks study for OU course.
4) Not spend any money from our bank account (hubbies wages) and use the money I earn to live on.
5) Spring clean my clinic so when I start work on Monday morning the place is perfect.
Right, it's in writing so I have to prove to myself I can do this. Hope everyone has a good dfw week.
xx

Have you changed Gas Electric supplier yet? It only takes a couple of mins on Uswitch.
Have you set up the dd for the CC yet? It only takes a couple of mins online.
Good luck with the OU course, and college. Once you have 1 and 2 done you can crack on with this!!!
(I appologise, I'm turning into my mother)
I nag because I know how easy it is and how much better you will feel for having done it!Debt £5600 all 0%0 -
Lol, you only gave me 11 minutes! But ok you're right, it does take minutes so i'll have done these two before tomorrow night! The reason for my procrastination (sp)....I put my bank card in the freezer in a tub of water to stop me using it. DON'T LAUGH!January budget

I read that in a book that promised me that I could save £1000 in 4 weeks, don't know how that would work though, I am currently earning pretty much naff all!Debt £5600 all 0%0

I was under the impression that if you set up a dd for a cc then you can not make any extra payments for that month which is one of the reasons that I have not done so, As I generally like to pay approx £20 per week or whatever I have spare??0

Thats an awesome idea!!!!0

yeah you can, just not through the dd. The dd pays either the min or full amount each month. If you get it for the min, you can either pay more from your banks website / phone service / counter, or send a cheque etc. Thats what I did so I knew the min was always covered and when I had anything left over at the end of the month I just paid it off. Cleared it in no time!Debt £5600 all 0%0

for those that haven't read the book, if you need it for an emergency you have to let it thaw out before you can use it, therefore ensureing that you cannot use it for impulse purchasing!Debt £5600 all 0%0 -

dropping the chuffer when you try to get it out and then the water destroying the sig strip so i couldn't read the security number saved me a fortune I can assure you!!!!!
PS don't try to speed up the defrost by smacking it with random kitchen appliences!Debt £5600 all 0%0 -
