Spring cleaning my life!

I am doing a masters with the OU. Have just finished E836 and am starting another in Feb. I am due 1st baby in April, so will be hard work I think, but I wont be working and need something to keep me sane! Was thinking of becoming a tutor with OU - something I could do freelance using all my current skills (am lecturer else where) and can avoid going back to work.
As for money, nice reminder I need to log on and pay for my next unit.
I have been very good this year so far, about to make my biggest purchase so far.0 -
My DH is taking DD100! It's his first OU course, and he's loving it. Meanwhile, I'm taking two professional courses in insurance. The funny part is that all that fuzzy, politically correct, sociology stuff makes my head swim, and my insurance courses bore him silly.:rotfl:Hi, I'm Mich

It's good to hear of other distance learners, makes you feel slightly less alone. I think my biggest problem with the OU is the cost. I don't feel very dfw friendly when I pay for courses. I tell myself that it's improving me but as I won't actually change my job when i've completed my degree I sometimes wonder!
Today i'm going to add some extra challenges to my list so it'll be easier for me to study and sort out my finances;
Mini sunday challenge
1) Sort paperwork
2) Sort and clean kitchen
3) Sort and clean living room
4) Sort and clean dining room
5) Sort and clean bedroom
Nothing like taking Sunday easy is there!

I told you that 1 and 2 of your original 5 were easy, it's so nice to be able to say that! Did I read right, you're studying Human Biology? If so what level I might be up for an online study buddy if you're looking for mutual support.Debt £5600 all 0%0

Hiya justruth
I'm studying human biology at level 2 with the Open University. It's really fasinating but very, very hard work! What are you studying? An online study buddy would definitely be helpful!January budget

Being more organised is definitely helping. I've got to pay two bills at the weekend (children's clubs) and found the paperwork easily, the cheques are now written out by the front door. Normally it's a last minute dash to try and sort everything out so hopefully that's one less stressful thing.
Today I want to;
1) Contact HMV who've diddled me out of a ten pound voucher
2) Complete spending diary
3) Work out an exact figure for our debts....think it might be higher than i've got written down so will check this out.
4) Finish my last college assignment
5) Complete todays flylady challenge
Doesn't sound much but i'm working all day so time is limited.
Wishing you all a good day xxJanuary budget

Right, for the rest of the week i'm going to sort every single bit of paper work in this house. I'm forever wasting hours looking for insurance forms / MOT certificates / school letters and it's going to stop now. My husband is worried if he sits still long enough he'll get filed but so be it.....now what should I file him under?!?!January budget
