Sorry it's broken down but without any details I can't look into it for you and I can't tell you much of anything really.
But, if it was bought with a 2 year warranty it should have been £399 or thereabouts which was about the same price as a similar Bosch or Hotpoint at the time.

I love my ISE 10 bought in 2009 - do about 2-3 loads/week & it is excellent. I initially bought it as I had a bed wetter... I did have the fitters out once to "repair" when it wouldn't drain (I think that was the problem as it was years ago). I was mortified when he pulled out a ds stylus & remarked "Yep, that would do it!". It had done a bit of damage, but he said it would all be covered by the 10 year guarantee as he couldn't prove the stylus had caused the problem. Very impressed & highly recommended. And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...0

Another satisfied ISE10 owner here, ordered via our local chap about a month ago, fitted cheerfully 3 working days later.
The choice for us was between the ISE and the equivalent Miele, the likely cost of out of warranty repairs clinched the deal for us.
The ISE replaces an old school Bosch WFF1400 which has given sterling service.
The machine is working well, does its thing almost silently and the clothes are well spun coming out of the machine.
Even i can operate it.:-)
Warranty arrived in the post about 3 days later, supplying engineer appointed as warranty agent, if he ceases trading AN Other will be appointed.
Like others here i am no longer prepared to support companies who supply rubbish, some of whom are trading on their previous good reputations whilst producing goods with poor durability...much like some well known car makers with carefully cultivated, by advertising and placement, image.0 -
I bought an ise washing machine just under three and half years ago. I was taken in by the promise of a robust machine which would last. It has without doubt been the worst machine I have ever bought and I would not get another. It needed mending before it was even a year old. the Spinning cycle is awful if you only want to spin a few items. Now it is failing to spin at all and I will need to call out the repair man again.0

I bought an ISE AW23 six months ago and I think it has been a really bad buy. I have already had the control panel thingy replaced due to it taking twice as long to run a programme as it should but this has not changed a thing. It wont spin a light load and the drum keeps "kicking" back during the washing cycle. The worst thing is it just doesn't clean the clothes. I run a 60 degree wash but still it comes out grubby. I have just run a 1 hr 27 minute wash which has taken 2 hours to complete. I will get the repair guy out next week again. Don't waste your money. I would add that for the first three months it was quiet and worked ok - clothes were washed and it stuck to the right timings for the programmes but even then it wouldn't spin a light load and the drum sounded as if it had hiccups whenever it changed direction. Rant over.0

I've had my ISE 10 for 2 years now and am very happy indeed with it. Cleans clothes well and keeps to the time promised on the cycle length indicator display.
Just thought I'd chime in to add some balance and to show that some of us are pleased with our ISE purchases.0 -
Those last two posts do seem a little suspect. I read through the whole ISE thread some time ago and thought they certainly seemed worth investigating to me if I hadn't just shelled out on a Miele with a 10 year guarantee. My main interest was why I hadn't heard of ISE before especially as the OH is a Scandi and I've lived over there.0

I was quite impressed by the ISE Concept just over 6 years ago,
Now after over 5 years of owner ship I really have to alter the 1st line as "taken in " by the ISE concept..
If It did not have the 5 yr warranty it would have been the worst in reliabilty machine we have ever had , and after 40 years of marraige we've had a few !! .
The ISE 555 washer , had at least 1 more often 2 breakdowns every year, of almost every concievable part, inc Motor in few 3 months , controller. etc .etc .
Our machines do have a hard life , but other makes have been good and a couple not so good. Unfortunatley ISE being one of the latter
For our initial 500 pounds we got bascially a 200-250 pounds worth of washer and 300 pounds of warranty . and it needed it ..
I see now the ISE's have a 10 years warranty ?. which would seem to be made up of a 250 pounds worth machine and 750 pounds of warranty .?
So you do really get anything any better for the 999 quids ??.
For info.. Our Top two washers were an Indesit (our 1st & lasted 13 years, although the last 2 were hell LOL ), ) and an Ariston ( lasted 12 years and still going when we sold it) all with negliable maintenance costs ..
Maybe they just don't make like they used too ...
So don't be taken in !!! thay are all just mechical things and the vast majority use the same parts made i nthe third world countries ??
So it pays to do your homework ! .

Interesting thread. It does seem that the complaints seen here are about the cheaper model that ISE produced to compete with the mass market brands.
Looking at their website this is no longer available - they only produce the higher 'commercial body' spec models with a 10 year warranty. I can only speculate that the lower spec machines were considered a mistake. Has anyone had any faults/problems with the higher end machines?
Again, the ethos is attractive, especially when I keep hearing reports that Miele quality is not what it used to be.0 -
Yes, it was explained here:
http://www.iseappliances.co.uk/support/guarantees/higher-quality.html
Basically all the lower grade machines were dropped and will not be reintroduced.
