You are clearly having a better experience with ISE than I am having at the moment.

I'm still trying to get hold of one. More info idc with possible pictures of a Hoover where my ISE should have been.

I bought my washer directly from the UK Whitegoods Website and they were prompt in responding to emails.
  • @ kwatt: thanks for all your helpful postings about ISE washing machines. Until recently I was looking for deals on an AEG - that being the top of budget range - then found ISE on the washerhelp forum.
Question: I live in central London, can I buy an ISE? ie is there an engineer on my patch.
Also - what is the latest model in the lower price range. It's unclear on the website - maybe a new model soon?

    Thanks again

Our 3-year-old AEG went BANG today, literally - dead with a full tub and a "dark brown smell". And now I've found this thread, I am actually quite pleased and hoping I can't find the AEG's 5-year warranty paperwork. Even when it was working it was a fairly useless machine, leaving white stains on dark clothes even with an extra rinse, and vibrating like anything on spin even though we have a solid floor.

We bought the AEG when the programmer on our 12-year ASKO packed up - at the time, ASKO had stopped importing to the UK so I had concerns about ongoing spare support which made me reluctant to spend the likely £150+ to have the programmer replaced. However I really miss the solid engineering not to mention the vastly superior wash performance - and in about half the time of the AEG!

So imagine my delight when I discovered I can buy a rebranded ASKO in the UK, with full after-sales support. I really hope I don't find that warranty paperwork. I just hope the latest ASKOs perform as well and haven't sacrifice washing ability to the energy-saving police.

The information on this topic has been exceptional and outstanding. I really like the sound of the ISE10 and have sent of some emails to local suppliers for quotes.

    Many thanks

Sorry folks, I've been slammed with work due to holidays the past couple of months but if anyone still needs any help just ask.

  • Do ISE make the washing machines for Maytag?
The Maytag one is very much the same, does the Maytag have the same support and guarantee?

ISE machines are made by Asko. Asko also makes some of the Maytag machines.

I've asked the same question and ISE can't comment on the specification of the Maytag machine which is fair enough. It'd be like asking Audi to comment on a BMW.
  • ISE support is pretty unique from what I know. I can't imagine Maytag or any other major manufacturer selling spares at such reasonable prices and giving so much technical help to the independent repairer trade or even customers. That's what's so special about them, they are trying to buck the trend after years of frustration with manufacturers as repairers.

  • Maytag only offer a 2 year warranty. But I can buy maytag at trade as I am a kitchen showroom, such a dillema do I go safe and pay more or save a bit and go maytag. I know all appliances are multi branded now, minor differences internally but not much
