What's the Northern Irish reaction to the rioting in England?

I am in Derry and frankly yesterday was appalling. First of all I was under seige in the house with the kids....it just wasn't safe to go out. The police/apprentice boys had taken over the roads and the stupid rioters had made the streets actually dangerous. I feel sorry for those trying to run a business and paying rates. Also, can't help but think it was all about egos.....from the actual marching to the rioting.
The rioters were obviously upstaged by England during the week and wanted to keep the gravy train of money coming in as peace initiatives (money for the select few of course) and god forbid it should be derailed to London or Birmingham.

My 8 year old and her friends were genuinely frightened.I am sick of politics here....

ps my grandpa was an orange man and played the flute but he would also play for the catholic bands if they were one down as the catholic bandsmen would return the favour. I remember watching the bands and enjoying it. Unfortunately when I tried to let my own children see them there was too much sectarian stuff going on in the parade. I wish it was just cultural unfortunately sadly there are a number who totally bring the tone down.
