good evening!
halibut: sorry i don't know of any such threads; but try 'search' - there might pop something up after all. but some on here do lots (!) of exercise too :T
had a rather good day.
nothing exciting happening really. more relaxed and laid back
did go shopping though with dd in tow - had to carry her while running through the rain - does that count towards exercise
HM burgers were heaven! we just love'em :T:T:T
i will treat myself to a few (counted) sweets and that's me for today
keep it up everyone :dance:I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
Hi all
Good to see everyone is still up beat and positive
Another good day for me today - I made moussaka from a SW magazine recipe for dinner, which was quite nice. I don't think I've ever had the real thing, so I didn't have anything to compare it to! If anyone's interested in the recipe, let me know and I'll post it on the recipes thread.
Rachel - I've been thinking about hobbies that you could take up, and to be honest, I can't think of many that don't involve exercise, food or being creative! One thing that did spring to mind is self development - you could learn a language, or improve your professional skills (I'm not implying that you need to by the way!). My hobbies are all very home based - my passion is gardening, and I also enjoy interior decor and DIY. I'm planning to redecorate the hall, stairs and landing this year and the planning stage often takes longer than actually doing the work, because I'll spend ages thinking of colour schemes and getting fabric and wallpaper samples. Let us know what you decide to do!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend all.

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing well and feeling positive.
My friends and myself have started up our own little group as we dont have a slimming world nearby. Most of us are following the slimming world plan as we have all done it before and i managed to lose almost 6 stone 3 years ago while following the plan. unfortunatly i have piled all the weight back on now as i was very poorly within a month of hitting target and then due to getting a job sitting down in an office all day the wight has piled back on.
So far i am feeling really positive and am totally committed but am sure that wont last forever. I have 5 stone to lose and our weigh day will be on wednesdays so i will keep you all posted as to how it is going.
Best wishes to you all.2007 Competition challenge.( Win back my ntl internet costs for a year) Target £220 Have won so far = £9.99 Loreal revitalift pot of cream. and = £14.95 Royal mail smilers stamps!

Hi everyone i was wondering if anyone can help me?
I have heard that holland and barratt sell scan bran (this is something that you can normally only buy in slimming world classes for those of you that dont already know)
Can anyone tell me if it is still called scan bran in Holland and Barratt or does it have a different name and if so what is it called?
I hope i have posted in the correct place, but if not big apologies.
Thanks in advance.2007 Competition challenge.( Win back my ntl internet costs for a year) Target £220 Have won so far = £9.99 Loreal revitalift pot of cream. and = £14.95 Royal mail smilers stamps!

I did a class about 4 years ago and it did work, thinking of going back to it, is any one else doing it?
Can you help me out?
I need to go shopping before the class as the cupboard is bare.
Am I right in thinking that I need to look for stuff that is less than 4 grams of fat per 100 grams?
ThanksApril Grocery challange £175
Spent week 1 £29.90
week 2 £62.64, TOTAL £92.540 -
Hi swizzle,
I think it's anything 4% fat or lower. I had a look on the web site
http://www.rosemary-conley.co.uk/
but couldn't see anything - perhaps you're more awake than I am!
Have just dragged the dog around for his walk (the other way round more like!) and am off to teach my swimming class in an hour or so. See you later.0 -

Poppielia that positive feeling you have will last much longer once you start losing the weight
. ScanBran are properly called Scandinavian Crispbread and are available in H&B.
The key to success in slimming as in any other field is preparation and planning, so make lists of things you want to buy for your meals and stck to them. Don't be tempted to buy a few biscuits or sweets, 'cos you won't give them all to the OH or children (well, I know I wouldn't). Try to prepare your food in advance if you're likely to be rushing off to work in the mornings. It's awful coming home, feeling starving and having to make a start on the evening meal - we're only human and are almost sure to start picking at this stage. If you must pick, make yourself a bowl of crudites or have some fruit at the ready.
Last night I sliced an orange pepper and munched on that while making hubby's traditional Saturday night curry or I'm sure I would have attacked his prawn crackers. You wouldn't believe the size of my mealI made myself 'fried' rice using 2 (yes, 2) packets of Batchelor's savoury rice, extra onion, peas and egg, threw in a HEB of prawns and ate the lot. I had intended saving some of the rice for a rice salad today, but it was to nice to leave. I couldn't move for the rest of the night and still feel full now:rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
