How much weight have you lost so far Miss MP? Or are you at target? Yeah, WW works for me as I am a lazy cow - they do all the hard work for you. :D

2 stone lost. Another 1 1/2 stone would be good, but 2 stone would be great.:D
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

  • Ice - pizza <snip> Frozen ones are better but still tough. I wonder if those WW ones are any good - does anyone know?

I didn't like the taste of them, but then I don't like pizza.:D A friend of mine has just started WW and she said that she loves the WW pizzas.

  • Thanks Tallgirl, for the advice, we are looking at growing our own veg, as we want our kids to understand where it all comes from.
I am just finding it hard some days cooking healthy food, only for my kids to turn there noses up at it AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH.
  • Tomato Topping
    ½ Large Tin Chopped Tomatoes
    1 Small onion, chopped
    Some Passata
    Oregano
    ! Pinch of Sweetener
    Salt and Pepper

When I make a pizza sauce for my son to take back to university, I add a carrot, celery stick, garlic plus tomato puree and veg stock. I use a whole tin of tomatoes. When it has cooked and reduced, I use the blender in the saucepan. My son says the sauce is a meal in itself and often eats it without the base. If can be frozen in portions, if there is any left. Sometimes I add chile to the mixture for a sauce with a bite.

On top of the sauce, you can add peppers or tuna before you put the pizza in the oven. No need for cheese then.:D

Your kids will thank you when they are older and are slim and healthy.:D

I always grow some veg and tomatoes too. How about getting your children to grow some sugar snap peas in a large pot (you will need some canes). They are really easy to grow and your kids might enjoy collecting and eating their harvest? Courgettes are really easy to grow also0 and you can grow yellow and green ones. You can get cress pots too, where you grow the cress as hair, then the children cut the hair and eat it. I always grow my own tomaotes as they are so easy and cheap. As a mature student, I worked for a while in a tomato greenhouse and when I saw what the men did, it put me off buying shop ones. If I do buy them, I wash them well. I grow the tiny ones, supersweet100.

You can buy packs of 'childrens seeds' from the garden centres. Nasturtiums are flowers that are easy to grow and the flower and seeds can be eaten:D I can't wait for spring:j

In the meantime, can you get your children to help you cook (get their hands into things) as mine use to eat it if they made it.

Welcome to the forum. You will get plenty of support here. Lois Lane runs the lose 2lb a week chart, so if you want to join some of us on that, just ask her nicely on this forum:D

Are you following a club plan or doing your own thing?

  • lo all, lots of post today. I'm going to Bolton Castle later to enjoy the sunshine. ANyone else doing anything nice this weekend? Petrichor, you made me laugh. I went to a wedding this summer and some of them DID look like deeley boppers. Tastefully understated(like consultants) is probably the best way to go. I think my boss just didn't even think about the slimming thing - we're both real 'foodies' so she saw a big glossy book with lovely foodie stuff in it and got it. Consultant I may try the SW pizza again - i made it once but clearly used far too much water. it took forever to cook in the oven and then the outside crisped slightly whilst the inside stayed gooey. It ended up being a big potatoey tomatoey mush but it was actually very tasty if a little messy. Pixxy-Suu - LL is right about the SW roasties they are really nice. I like to rough them up with a little ground semolina which is 2.5 synsfor 28g I think. You don't need that much! It helps them really crisp up. I'm not sure how this works for you but me and OH have separate finances more or less so I tell him that if he doesn't like what I cook he is perfectly entitled to spend HIS money on getting something else. Sounds like honeygem is making a good start. Keep going with the water - the going to loo all the time is a right pain but my skin is sooooo much better for it. And finally I looked onthe syns online Swizzle and I'm afraid they list the Morrisons frozen vegetarian mince as 5.5 syns for 100g red and green.
