hiya,
Well im not a great lover of exercise i have to admit, but i do have an active job and im constantly on the go, i must walk miles when im at work , up n down the store and climb ladders a lot ( no idea if that helps) but i do have a heck of a lot of weight to loose 6 or 7 stones im quite a big girl so i think thats why ive lost so much on my first week.£2 coin savers club = £118

Evening all
Congratulations Tinytot - that's excellent news. There's a section at the bottom of the weight loss chart for 'On hold' members which is for people who are planning to gain weight rather than lose it, pregnant ladies in other words!Would you like me to move you there? There's one condition - you must come back regularly and let us know how you're getting on!
Loopylass - 9 pounds! - that's fantastic, well done! :T
QT2006 - welcome back  three weddings in a year eh, that should be good motivation for you, but not very good for the bank balance. :rolleyes:swizzle wrote:Hi
I joined slimming world last week and it`s weigh in tonight I have been ok with the food but popped round to see a friend last night and had a drink. Well more like a bottle of wine! but did not eat anything!
Can I still have a life- ie a drink or a meal out while on a diet?
Hi Swizzle - you can still have a life, as long as you count the synsSW recommend that you have between 10 and 15 syns each day, and you can also have flexible syns now and again for special occasions (like nights out with your friends!) Wine is 24 syns for the whole bottle, so as long as you stick to less than 10 syns each day for the rest of the week you should be fine.
TallGirl wrote:How are you doing on the wine front, I am still not sticking to it, so far this week 10:eek: glasses and still today to go.
Hi TallGirl - I'm doing ok, I've only had 6 glasses of wine so far this week. I thought I was going to find it harder to stick to because I was in the habit of drinking most nights, but so far I've been really focussed. Dining out with clients is a difficult situation, as it seems unsociable not to join them, but I've found that if I have water on the table as well, I can make one glass of wine last for ages. Let them get pie-eyed while you remain clear headed!

well 1st weight in last night and I lost 1.5 lbs! Not good but not bad, now I know a bottle of wine is 27 sins- i will be more careful!
My day off today so lots of extra walking and maybe an aqua aereobics class on top of house work!
But some help please- we always have a takeaway at the weekend-normaly a curry, need some help in choosing. I do not want to do without it, but work round it as when I have lost my weight this time I want to keep it off! So I need to change how I eat.
Anyhow, I was thinking of chicken biryani- you get loads i can eat it all in 1 go- but I was going to eat 1/2 and freeze the rest for next weekend, or go for a chicken rogan josh with boiled rice?
weekends are mad so will not have time to cook anyway-plus like I said need to work it into my life,
Thanks in advanceApril Grocery challange £175

week 2 £62.64, TOTAL £92.540 -
wow loopylass! thats amazing. Well done! Thanks for the list consultant, sounds like you had a fab time at McArthur Glen. I always get sidetracked by the Le Creuset store which is quite sad. Do tell us more about your outfit - we have every confidence in you that it will fit perfectly. faffy HEBs - it's me being funny I know but I don't like the ones where they are some of this and some of that as it just confuses me and I forget where I'm up to. I'd rather just have a big bowl of something in one go!
I agree with the others about the fried rice - for the syns it's just not worth it. Chow Mein is a good one for SW green days. And Swizzle, I too am having an inidan this weekend - Consultant has advised me to have a dhansak or similar - there's a great article on the bodyoptimise website about syns for curries and what to try and avoid - pm me if you want me to send you some the details - I don't just want to cut and paste it onto the thread as it's relatively long and probably a big no-no in terms of copyright. Shepherdless pie was gorgeous and really really easy. In the morning i dry fried a couple of onions some celery and carrot, added the quorn mince and a mug of bovril then left it in the fridge. When I got home I made up a batch of Aldi instant mash( which is the nicest instant mash ever) put it on the top and into the oven for about half an hour. Even OH had to admit that it was yummy although he did slather it in bisto gravy. And finally congrats tinytot!0 -
Morning, well done to all the loosers Loopylass that is amazing well done. Consultant two sizes smaller that is brave just must know your own body how you will loose the weight and I am sure you will look lovely by the time the wedding comes along. Just remember don't upstage the bride.
Lois well done for sticking with the limit you set yourself. I am determined to do it next week, I didn't have a drink yesterday and I am doing what you say drink lots of water and make 1 glass last. I think the key is to just have 1 glass or nothing. Our old neighbours are coming down Saturday but we are only going out for lunch and I don't drink at lunchtime so I will be ok. Swizzle I agree with you it is hard when there is a bottle of wine open and you are with friends to resist but well done for loosing it must be all that execise.
I have not been to the gym all week no excuses just not been around. Playing golf Sunday so that will help but must get back into the gym thing. Take care all and hope you have a nice day.Save £12k in 25 No 49

KatiePC it just reminded me seeing your post about the shepherless pie. I had to chuckle when you said OH believed if Quorn wasn't meat it had to be veg so counting towards his 5 a day, lol. As far as I understand Quorn is from the same family as mushrooms, so he's not far wrong! Glad you both enjoyed it anyway.
'The Outfit' is a trouser suit from Jacques Vert, in a shade between lilac and blue (difficult to describe really). Long jacket with concealed fastenings (when I can get it fastened!!!) with a cream silky top underneath. I got a fascinator instead of a hat this time - I always feel a prat in a hat :rotfl:
The HEBs with more than one thing is to make sure you get a set amount of fibre. I agree they can be awkward, but fortunately there are lots of others to choose from. I prefer to save mine for later in the day so always have a free breakfast.
Tinytot I will double check on class fees for you cos I didn't realise you were at target. I'll let you know what's what when I find out.
Things will be altering a lot in group when the new scales come into use. I don't know whether they're going to do us good or not. Have to wait and see I suppose.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Morning
Hope all ok, not been around much as my three things have now failed!
Three ridge tiles are off the roof, my sky+ box has failed and my phone line has been dead for two days! So I have been working in the local office.
I probably overdid things as well been in the gym everyday since Sunday and aquacised twice as well, so I probaby will have maintained for overdoing it. However the belt has tightened by one notchOn the plus side I saw the physio last night and after some deep tissue massage for some ligament tethering I got the all clear to start playing rugby again :j Honey how is you OH doing after with his knee?
I have only had a chance to flick through some of the posts, but well down to loopylass I am so jealous, bet you feel great for it. Consultant is the fried rice you desribed fairly healthy, I scramble an egg in the pan first and then add the pre-cooked rice and veg for my own version of egg fried rice, but never sure if that healthy. Your shopping sounds good also consultant, I went looking for new swimshorts last week and there is nothing I like! My current shorts are two sizes two big! Victory looks like you and I are in the same boat at the moment, shall we keep at it a little bit more and see if we can persude some weight to go? Congratulations to you TinyTot all the very best. Tallgirl and Lois seeing as you ladies are comparing wine notes, how does a venti, extra shot, sugar free vanilla, skinny latte from starbucks workWhich I worked out is 214cals 0g fat against 386cals 14.5g fat for the normal whole milk version.
Right best I get back to work. Sorry if I have missed anyone. Have a Great weekendProud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Yes it's very healthy. Basically you've only got plain boiled rice, veggies and an egg - I don't count the Frylight or soy sauce cos they're both free on either plan anyway. For me (and other SWers) that would be totally free food -how good is that??
Sorry about all your things failing, but look on the bright side, you're a very successful slimmer!!!!!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
