oh consultant - a question to sw please?! mix and match: that's when i go eg. green for lunch and red for dinner; is there a limit to foods i have to look out for? - if i had stuffed potatos (with no red foods) for lunch and that 'bangers&hash' for dinner (with no green food) - that's allright, right? thanks

Evening all :hello:
not had a bad day today
been really busy in work so absolutely no time to think about food, only just managed to eat my lunch in fact
we had fish, homemade chips & baked beans for dinner, i'm trying to cook stuff that all 3 of us can eat (hence the healthy eating not diet thing) and just exercise some portion control  well i'm trying anyway
OH has just gone out so planning to run a nice bubbly bath & have a mug of chocolate options to relax
have a good night everyone

Hi all
I've made a few amendments to the chart, click here to see them.
Marion - I've just noticed your post so I haven't added your name, but it will be there for next week's update, welcome to the club.
Consultant - your comments are very kind, and to repeat what others have said, you deserve support from the users of this thread because you're input is so valuable. By the way, I think your user name is a bit too formal, so I'm going to nickname you Connie!
I'm off to finish my Sainsbury's shop now, so night all.

Just popped back after finding this, which will amuse you:
The Month after Christmas
'Twas the month after Christmas and all through the house,
nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The biscuits I'd nibble, the sherry I'd taste,
at the holiday parties had all gone to waist.
I remember the marvellous meals that I ate
The gravies and sauces all over my plate.
The wine, rum sauce, the bread and the cheese
The lack of 'no thank yous' just lots of 'yes please'.
As I dress myself up in my husbands' old shirt
And prepare once again to do battle with dirt
I say to myself, as only I can
'You can't spend all Winter disguised as a man'
So away with the last of the sour cream dip
Get rid of the fruitcake, every cracker and chip.
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
'till all the extra ounces have vanished.
I won't have a biscuit - not even a lick
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick
I won't have pizza or pasta or pie
I'll just munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'll be hungry and lonesome and find life a bore
But isn't that what January's for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot
So month after christmas, and 'Have a good diet!'Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30
