  • hi

is it ok if i join in aswell, im very overweight and really want to be a lot lighter, last year i did weight watchers (went it alone with the books etc) i was getting on really well then my diet buddy gave up and i went to the wedding i wanted to lose the weight for,
then my sister went into hospital and we spent a couple of weeks in intensive care (far to much chocolate eating in the middle of the night to stay awake with her)
so i have decided no more excuses and have got my free slimfast diary which im going to write down everything i eat to keep track of it and go back on weight watchers because strangely enough i actually did enjoy it

i weighed myself yesturday and started yesturday morning, my old diet buddy wants to join me again but im not sure she was a great influence last time so dont want to need her support

fingers crossed im determined this time

Morning all, feel not so hungry today so that must be a step in the right direction!! Have head-aches though and the stomach pull the OP was talking about but expect them to go, my H says I have cut out too many carbohydrates and lack energy.
On Monday have decided to go to SW , need motivation (well the hol in July seems motivation but it is too far away!!)
My H says that I should not keep in mind that it is 2 stone I would like to loose and say it differently like ' I only need to loose 2lb' then say it again next week when I have lost that amount etc, I see what he means ....
Proud to say not cheated or given up yet even witout any weight loss!! xx

    Morning,
Just had a lovely breakfast of grilled bacon, scramble egg and a crispbread. I would have had toast but we've run out of bread.
TallGirl just to let you know I had 1.5 pints of lager last night so that leaves me 5.5 for the rest of the week.
Booked my holiday last night. Dietwise: on the plus side it's a ski-ing holiday so plenty of fresh air and exercise. On the minus it's in the states, not exactly reknown for portion control. Ah well. I can but try.

Victory, I think your H is right. If you break your desired weight loss down it's doesn't seem so 'impossible'. ½ stone is easily achievable every month, without starving or risking your health and so if you give yourself a date, say Valentine's day and say "I want to have lost 7lbs (or perhaps 10 since it will include your first week which is usually a biggish one) by then" it gives you an immediate sense of purpose.

Edimew, your breakfast sounds yummy! I think it depends where you go in the USA. My daughter went to Florida and was craving salads by the time she came home 'cos she said she hadn't seen any healthy food the entire fortnight. I went to New York and actually lost 2lbs over the week. The food was fab and there was any amount of healthy options. Hopefully, if you're in a multi-cultural place, there will be lots of choice and at least some of it, healthy.

PS: Good luck on Monday Suggs!!

Edimew well done 1.5 pints is good. I had 2 glasses of Blush last night so only have 5 left for the rest of the week so you are in lead for now.
Was quite good yesterday and today I have a nice batch of Minestone Soup in the Slowcooker. I just love that thing and it is so nice to cook from fresh.
Sounds like a few of us are getting fed up I think it must be the weather it makes you eat more. Victory check that it is not your bloodsugar that has got too low. I get that if I don't eat on a regular basis. It gives me headaches and I feel so feeble. Maybe you should try split your meals up and have less more often it might help.
Well off to read the papers again just felt I needed a chat.

    Hello.
My family are staying with me over the weekend and I am trying to be good but it's difficult. We have alreday been out for a slap up breakfast - I had 2 Quorn sausages, beans, egg, tomato and 1 hash brown.
Not too bad SW-wise I suppose.

However, I have just had a biscuit to taste them as my mum was raving on about them. We are off out for dinner tonight - will try to be good with food but it is a bit out of my control and the booze will have to be vodka and diet coke to limit the damage.

Have walked about 4 miles with the dog so hopefully that will help to burn a bit of it off.

Back to the straight and narrow tomorrow.
    Have a good evening
    Rachel.
