    good evening :hello:

yes indeed - this makes very good reading - loving it :T

i am doing SW and i think mainly because i don't want to count and i like my food :D

how to cook the potato gulash???? i never thought about putting it down in writing :D
    well ....
chop 1 onion and brown it slightly (add a little bit of fine cut bacon if you like for better taste) 2 minutes; 1 spoon paprika powder; as many potatos as you like (;)) (peeled and cut, i always cut them bitesize); mix through; add water till the potatos are covered; add majoran, salt, dash of whitewine vinegar - cover and cook till potatos are soft (ca. 20min) - add 2 spoon creme fraiche .. voila :D (if you like some protein you could add some frankfurters the last minute) - sorry i am not good with weights; i always make it up as i go along :o

kids weren't too fond of it earlier - but they tend to change their tastes daily  (they couldn't get enough of it the last time!)

green days? bean chilli :D cauliflower cheese :D vegetable soup with pasta :D
    stuffed potatos :D chips :D noodles with veg.stir fry :D soups :D
and you can always have some meat/fish as your HE B ;)

i am going to check the recipes out right now
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work ;)

Well Done loopy-loo it takes time this fitness lark, you did very well and in time you will see an improvement, I would suggest sticking to the 2+4+2 for a week, then making a slight change.

I tried jogging this week and got a sore knee in return :) I have gym'd swam and aquacise'd this week. There is a weight loss, will post it Monday if I cant get to Boots Monday morning (I have the dreaded review on Monday)

    All the best

  • Heres a strange question..... I have kick started the healthy thing today

    Todays Menu:

Breakfast: Apple & Coffee ( i know , not great but I do not do breakfast so it is a start!!!!)
Lunch: Tesco Healthy Living Cous Cous and an apple
Tea: Veggie burger in bun and large salad, and yogurt

But the last few days I have cut out alot of carp and today I have been suffering witha bit of a stomach ache...

is it because my bod is getting used top something other than the carp that usually goes in!!!!LOL

  • Angel sorry to be personal, but are you a bit constipated perhaps?

I see no real reason to get stomach ache when you're eating healthy food, but are you drinking enough water (here I go again, lol), you need to be having at least 2 litres a day.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Food combining is entirely different, honestly. You wouldn't be allowed to put carbs and protein together with that, whereas with SW you are encouraged to do just that. The allowances for proteins are generous on a Green day and equally, the allowances for carbs are good on the Red day.

Sorry consultant, it must have changed. From what I recall, on a green day you could have some meat (so long as it was weighed) but I remember our consultant saying on a red day you couldn't have rice (carb) with meat (protien). It was a good diet as it worked and people could eat a fried breakfast and still lose weight and eat things like a whole chicken if they wanted it. It just wasn't something that I could live with. Horses for courses.:D While at SW I gained £1,200. I won one of their competition, the only thing I have ever won.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

  • I have upped my intake of water as well as veg, I might be due on as well actually, but I am more regualar than ever before sometimes twice a day (OMG Too much info!!!!!!! SORRY!!!!)

It is strange it is not stomache ache as such more of a a pull, which makes me think it might just be cramping, if it has not subsided by Monday I will see the doc

  • Hi there

I have one and a half stone to loose. 11st back down to 9.5 following stopping smoking. Ideally about 2 - 3lb a week.

WW isn't doing the trick at all even with 3 x 30 min gym sessions a week.

Any tips what would be best ?

Hi xxxdarlingxxx.... It might be an idea to post on a day's eating to see why you're not losing weight. It might be that you're not eating enough. To be honest, I think that hoping for 3lbs per week weightloss might be a bit ambitious. Why not join us in the 2lb club... there's a link to explain it all in the first post. As for tips to speed up your weightloss, drink loads of water, eat loads of free vegetables and maybe if you're following WW read over your programme again and be brutally honest if you're following it 100% (I'd suggest keeping a food diary for a week).

  • Wow, so many posts to keep up on. It's taken me almost 30 minutes to read them all.

You all seem to be doing quite well. The january motivation is going strong 12 days in!.
I've had a few lapses myself in the past 2 days but I'm pulling back over the weekend. Part of my problem is boredom eating so I'm thinking of taking the dog out walking after ds has gone to bed... that way I'll be so wet and cold when I come back in, I'll be too busy getting warm and dry to think about rubbish..
    What do you reckon guys?

  • Excellent idea Delly - make yourself a hot cup of Otions, it'll do the trick nicely.

Congrats on the win MIssMP, I've never won anything either, though I live in hope :D

Hope you're feeling better today Angel.

  • Much better today, thank you consultant31, feeling quite positive and looking forward to losing some serious weight, as I feel ready to do it.
