def me for the 5 lb loss, I have been really suffering from despair this week:D no not to cheat but to give up as I cannot seem to muster anymore enthusiasm for it;)

I decided I needed to take myself in hand and have been upstairs for the last 2 hours trying on every piece of clothing I own and lots of them have some give in them now so that has lifted my spirits, the thing is I would have thought by now I would have gone down a size but no, not yet and that is dragging me down:eek:

I AM really loosing the point to all this but the clothes try on has kept me happy for a bit so slowly slowly catch monkey as they say:D

I know it's abit of a cliche but how long did it take to put the weight on? I can understand the dissapointment of not going down a size but if your clothes are looser do they not now look better. Any tops that were straining at the buttons now hanging better. Trousers that were cutting you in half now comfy all day?

You've done so well don't give up. Give yourself a little reward (not food).

My son is 6 and a half and since the birth I have not dieted once so 6 and half years to put on:D

Yes the clothes are looser but not one size down, just hugely peeved and disappointed, my tunnel vision is wavering a bit....

My H said that about the reward....get to the 1 stone mark and think of something as a reward but I never answered him as I am too fed up:rotfl: :rotfl:

Just lost my post so I'll start again!

I'll join in with the 5LB challenge for February and katiepoppycat's (Ithink) 5 a day challenge.

I've maintained this week but I'm not really surprised as I've been out and DH opened a box of chocs which I think I've scoffed half of - Didn't bother me when the box was sealed but as soon as it was open that was it!

I'm going to have a go at meal planning this week and try some new recipes out so I'll see how I get on. I'm also going to search out the recipes thread and look for SW recipes.

I must start posting more on here as well - I tend to read the posts but not to post.

In response to the survey: (late as usual)

I just WI on a Wednesday night at SW.

I have about 3 stone to lose.

    I've lost 6.5 lbs.

    I'm 5ft 4

I like pasta'n'sauce for a quick and easy snack on a Green day.

I don't really drink enough water but I'm trying to increase it!

  • I think I've finally thawed out from the walk to school this morning. have been out and bought a sledge to drag the 2yr old up to school because theres no way i'm pushing that buggy again. I had to abbanden it at a friends house. you can't push a buggy in the snow! but I would have burn't a few calaries trying. The S.A.S log is working well. filling it in really does keep you on track. I have just spotted the tesco's meat free spinach and ricotta sausages on an earlier post. I will def be trying those. they sound lovely. Tonight I've got a cheesy spinich and mushroom thing with garlic and corriander rice mmmmm.
    HOW MUCH ?

Please put my name down as well. I am seeing the Deitictian again March 6th and the knee consultant 22nd Febuary so it will be good to see progress.

Big Thanks to you Honey for the suggestion.

I love the snow, its so romantic! :snow_laug

Does anyone else want to take up the challenge to lose 5lbs by the end of February, as Honey is doing? The last update for the month will be on Monday 26th which is less than three weeks away, so it's probably a more realistic target for people to go for.

I thought we said the challange was 5lb by 5 March?

RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

  • I'm slightly frightened of the lose weight challenges as i get really down when i don't make it. Does anyone fancy a 5 a day challenge? That must be good on whatever diet you are doing! I'm going to start from monday as I do the food shopping at the weekend.

    5 a day of what? Have I missed something again?:D
