    Trying to look for Bedford to Bath Spa return on Sat 24th Oct, need to be in Bath by about 1 at the latest, anywhere post-11ish would be ok though. Need to leave Bath ASAP after about 5:30pm

    Cheapest I got before the website/my computer started screwing up was about £25

    Bedford -> Harlington (Beds) £3ish
    Harlington -> Bath Spa £12ish

    then Bath Spa -> Bedford was about £9

    Thanks if anyone can help :). I have a 16-25 railcard by the way

    Those fares are unlikely to be beatable. I'm a bit surprised that splitting in Harlington helped though, but so be it if it did.

    Try booking them on the First Great Western website if you aren't already - 10% off some of them

    Thanks :). Yea I did think that's about as low as it'll go, just swear when I looked it up a few months ago (just random Saturdays, nothing was fixed then), I was getting like singles straight through for like £7, now they are like £16.25.

    And yea Harlington surprised me too, going direct is giving me £17.25 and the "10 trains unavailable for your selected fare" which wipes out the trains I need.

    Apparently there are now no seats available to reserve though :mad: It screwed up earlier so maybe it's still reserviing the one from when my computer crashed, I'll have to try again later/tomorrow then I suppose! :(

    Thanks just seen your edit and tried FGW, that is giving a discount on it, same error though but more detailed

    Sorry - we have been unable to successfully validate your journey for the following reason:
    1. Error E00328 No availability for requested product on leg from PAD to BTH
    So I'll just see what happens in a few days I suppose

    The cheapest current single from Bedford to Bath (with a railcard but without the 10% FGW discount) is £8.60 - availability very sparse. Well put it this way I haven't found it available at all but haven't searched that hard. £13.55 is more common

    Yea I think it was the £8.60 I got when I left late at night a few months ago, seems non existant for any normal time of day though! :(

    That 7:49 departing Bedford is a bit early (which is why I tried for a slightly later one via Harlington), just had a look though as I may not have much choice, but it's coming up as £23.50 on FGW and £17.25 on NXEC.

    That Harlington one is near enough perfect, and was my original choice, but when I go to book it's saying no reservation available and isn't letting me have it :(

    FGW don't seem to have an option for plus bus either?:confused:

    Let me see now... do you mean...

    You want to travel from Wakefield to London return.
    Dep Wakefield 08:17, arr London 10:25 (that train does exist).
    Dep London 12:30 arr Wakefield 23:54 (no, that can't be right).
    You have found a fare of £66.75.
    What dates do you want to travel?

    Sorry, I can't understand what you are trying to say.
  • Need to do this for my Dad - London to Blackpool - next Wednesday - any ideas please for split ticketing
