So how do you know you are paying 2% less than the standard rate?
From 14th September, SaveOnline 9 will be the cheapest SaveOnline tariff. So SOL9 might be at 4% discount, but SOL3 at 2% discount, for example.0 -
Can someone explain something for me please? My SOL4 finishes in January I think. If I change to SOL9 now, will I have to start on the first tier charges or if I have already used the necessary amount of units will I go straight onto the second tier? I'm just thinking that as I still have 5 months to go on this tariff, any benefit in changing to SOL9 would be wiped out if I had to start on the higher tier immediately.
Hope what I am trying to say makes sense!0 -

To work out the number of kilowatt-hours charged at the First kilowatt-hour price on you statement, they divide this limit by 365 days and multiply this by the number of days your statement is for.
Hope this helps.:wave:0 -
When I try to switch to SaveOnline 9 on the EON web site it says the start date is today's date.
How can I get it post dated to 13th September ?0 -

To post date you will need to telephone Eon. You can not post date online. When you call them, tell them you want to start the switch on the 13th September. They will then confirm the switch in writing and it will also show on your on-line account.:wave:0 -
I really hope this won't be a whitewash - and with most energy companies now being in foreign hands, there should be no need for it to be.Forensic accountants from accountancy firm BDO have been brought in by Ofgem to scrutinise how the Big Six energy suppliers calculate their profits, according to the Sunday Telegraph. The new investigation by BDO will investigate the hedging practices, trading profits and wholesale prices paid by the companies.0

Seems like they've pulled that facility too. Telephoned them this morning to start the switch on September 13 and was told ' We can't do that now. As it's an online account you have to switch online'.0 -
I Phoned as Sparkle suggested to change from Saveonline 7 to 9 in September and was told by the person who answered that I had to make the change myself - which means changing now. So I spoke to the supervisor who was adamant that he could not do the change and he would not put me through to anyone else unless I was having internet difficulties. Eventually he gave me the number (0845 301 5933) of the online internet support team. I phoned them and they immediately agreed to what I asked but confirmed that only they could do it -other departments no longer can.0

Genuinely useful post. I've just phoned this number and got my change postdated to 13th September. Thanks Rogeradam.0 -

Chuckle, I think I have now managed this also but with a struggle! Unlucky with the first, agressive response. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. Then got another sermon about only being able to switch to OnlineSaver 9 online. I humbly pointed out I was a long standing customer and merely wanted to continue with Eon as my energy providor and to change to OnlineSaver 9 by telephone to September 13. Sigh. Complicated trying to be a customer!0
