I know what they can do, I just want them to confirm so all readers on this forum can see.
They are currently discounting by between 15% and 25% on the standard prices. They are only obliged to discount by 2%.
This provides no assurance that Saveonline9 will be the best product. This is, in my opinion, not clear and many members would not appreciate the fact that prices can increase by such an extent.
Even when I discussed with EoN on the phone they tried to waffle their way out of it by saying the maths added up.
The reps have been noticeably quiet on this thread but from a Money Saving perspective it is an important point to have confirmed.0 -
Hi JSF23,
Sorry for the late reply.
SaveOnline 9 offers you reassurance that your unit prices will be at least 2% lower than our standard prices for 12 months.
If your unit price changes through the life of the plan, you will be notified of this, but your prices will still be at least 2% below the standard prices.
The end date of the tariff will be 12 months after you changed on to this.
As it is an online tariff, we do say to change on to this via your online account, changes this way are immediate (if there is online issues we are happy to do this for you).
Hope this helps.

I am not sure that any product from any energy supplier provides assurances that it will remain the best though? It would certainly make this whole process easier if they did! It's a great headline rate, but that's all they're promising. SO9 will almost certainly go up before the winter, you just have to gamble on by how much. And then SO10 will come along with its new headline rates to muddy the water even further. :mad:This provides no assurance that Saveonline9 will be the best product. That is all i'm after Helena, thanks.
Transparency is important and readers should factor in a circa 20% increase to these prices when they are considering the best product to transfer to.0 -
I am a new user to the forum so please excuse me if this is written in the wrong place.
I get very confused with all the comparisons but here is another question for anyone that is interested.
I have just received a letter from e-on saying that my fixed monthly direct debit has been updated and will be increased on 1st October - well excuse me if it is fixed how can they change it?0 -

Hi Eeyores friend,
A monthly Direct Debit can be increased or decreased depending on the status of the account, you should now have some credit on your account and this should build up further to help take you through the winter months.
The payments may have been increased if there is not much credit building.
The payments may also need to be increased if you are going to be affected by the price increase.
We can change the amount a customer pays by monthly Direct Debit, but we do need to let you know about this.
Is your account billed up to accurate meter readings? and is the account in credit?
If you need any more info, just ask.

Hi
Sorry if this has been asked before but it's a long thread. Can the Eon rep please confirm that I won't get charged the £30 early cancellation fee if I change to Saveonline 9 from Saveonline3 now (Saveonline 3 ends 30 October for me). Thanks.0 -

Hi billieboy,
Currently we won't charge you the cancellation fee changing from one SaveOnline tariff to another.

Well as saveonline 2 ended yesterday, I have made the swap to saveonline 9.

Helena,
My saveonline 2 ended on the 31/8/11 and have been transferred to Energyonline. I am looking at the Savelonline 9 tarrif. If I change to this product will I still receive the discounts on my final bill as the T&Cs say you don't. I would hope that you wouldn't class this as a "final bill" as I am staying with you and the 6% DD, 2% dual fuel and 17.4% promotional discount would be applied from the date of my last bill to the end of August.
Could you please confirm. Thank you.0
