I the same predicament as I am on SOL5 6% lower than their standard prices. Again what is their standard price? I went onto this in March and their website a few days ago said 6% lower than prices at 13th September 2011. So when they set this tarif they must have already known their prices would increase. My first unit gas rate is going up 48%! I pointed this out to a very pleasant girl on the phone and she couldn't believe it. She advised me to to go to SOL9. I thought I'd investigate it further but when I tried to get on today they are updating this part of their website. Perhaps SOL9 will now disappear! The girl also said it was their first increase and they were the last company to do so - funny this as my prices went up in Feb which was why I went onto SOL5. She said charge for changing is only if you change company not changing within EON. SEVERAL other companies are coming up chepaer than EON including NPower, Atlantic and EDF when I go to uswitch.
Problem is if I change outside of EON by 13th Sept I hav eto pay the cancellation fee but if I wait until the contract ends in April 2012 I have the higher prices!!
I think trading standards need to investigate this. Perhaps we all need to write to them.0 -
I know I'm quite late in switching (having just got back from holiday) but the figures for the SaveOnline 9 seem to be showing as higher than those quoted earlier on this thread:ElectricityThese are still cheaper than the (new) SaveOnline 4 that I'm on at the moment though, so I'll probably change (assuming no penalty for switching).
Night units

Day units up to 900 kWhs per year

Day units

I assume it's due to regional variation, we don't all get charged one standard price.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
so2 runs out tomorrow and planning to switch to so9 - if done online does the switch happen instantly or does it take some time to go thro?0

Both give 6% DD discount and 2% Duel fuel.
FAO EoN rep. I'd appreciate some clarification of what i'd be signing upto with saveonline9 please. I have tried to get clarification on the phone without success and I have not received promised callbacks with this clarification.
Based on my above quoted Saveonline 9 prices can I assume that the minimum 2% reduction on standard prices should be based on MY quoted EoN Energyonline prices (listed on MY ACCOUNT)? These Energyonline prices are:
Electricity
Normal units up to 900 kWhs per year
24.927 pence
Normal units
13.86 pence per kWh
Gas
Normal units up to 2680 kWhs per year
8.57325 pence
Normal units
3.7296 pence per kWh
Based on the minimum guaranteed reduction then within the terms of Saveonline9 you can increase MY unit prices to:
Electricity
Normal units up to 900 kWhs per year
24.428 pence
Normal units
13.58 pence per kWh
Gas
Normal units up to 2680 kWhs per year
8.401785 pence
Normal units
3.655 pence per kWh
According to my basic calcs you can increase MY Saveonline 9 prices by
13% for Elec upto 900kwhs
27% for Elec normal
15% for Gas upto 25680 kwhs
17% for Gas normal
Can you confirm that you could do this within the terms of Saveonline9???
Thanks in advance0 -
so2 runs out tomorrow and planning to switch to so9 - if done online does the switch happen instantly or does it take some time to go thro?
Switched mine at midnight. Received the confirmation email within seconds.
Btw, it may be an idea to enter in your up-to-date meter readings now as well, just so they know at what usage to start billing you on the new prices.

They don't need to do anything until they want to produce a statement. All the computer has to do is to log the change with date and time, and show your current tariff is whatever you have chosen.0 -
Where is the rep when you need her? Why doesn't she reply to our concerns? She has been quiet for some days now.
Dear rep, could you please give us some answers to our questions above... or is there something fishy going on here... I need to make a decision in a couple of days, pleeease reply...0 -
Bump for an EON rep.
Please reply, surely my question is not that difficult.0 -
What do you need Eon to confirm? What you have written is correct, based upon the SO9 terms... it's the risk you take. If they do hike up the prices by that much, the £30 contract exit fee will probably pay for itself by switching to another provider.Based on the minimum guaranteed reduction then within the terms of Saveonline9 you can increase MY unit prices to:
